Libero is technically more of a defensive player from my reading who has the freedom to move up if the situation calls for it/they're in possession of the ball. Different from a midfielder who's expected to move further up with the forwards along with falling back on defense. Liberos don't seem to be as common in modern soccer, supposedly due to not being suited to offsides rules and a few other reasons.

Honestly, the universal exp share is a plus IMO. Does it make the game easier? Not in any meaningful way. It just reduces the need to grind as much. Also, I personally never experienced any noticeable bugs, aside from the ones I caused intentionally. My only gripe with them was for patching some of the bugs out. The menu glitch was one I wish they had kept. It was hyper specific enough to where you couldn't trigger it by accident, and even if you managed to, it was so easily rectified that it wasn't a major problem. If you had remained a massive pokemon fan and were super hyped for these games, I can understand the disappointment. For me, I had just recently gotten back into Pokemon after a 10-year hiatus. Also, I never played Platinum until after BDSP. So all that "cut" content I never experienced and honestly don't mind that it's missing. As far as I can tell the only stuff missing are new gym puzzles and extra cutscenes and I prefer the D/P ones to the Platinum ones. Could just be what I'm used to, but I think some didn't need overhauling and those that did, I'm not thrilled with. I came into it expecting to play an updated version of Diamond and I got what I was expecting.

Pokémon Sword & Shield had a rocky buildup, but had a strong finish. They aren't perfect games, but good first mainline entries to the Switch. The gen 8 anime also had a rocky start but looks to have a STRONG finish with Ash vs Leon being incredible. The VGC scene was also very nice to see too, and online battling was better than ever with teams being so diverse. Pokémon Legends: Arceus burst the door wide open for the possibilities with Pokémon going forward. And BDSP existed. Overall, gen 8 was a pretty good time for Pokémon. It shall be missed.

1:53, Agreed, gen 3 was a good balance in general Sceptile and... well more so Mega Swampert I suppose are fine too being humanlike, Typhlosion and Feraligatr of gen 2, heck Samurott would be better if they made it on 2 legs instead of 4. Even gen 6 is ok not offensive, I like the theme, paladin, ninja, and wizard (though Braixen uncomfortable with). I don't overly hate humanoids in general, Alakazam is cool, Gardevoir my 3rd favorite Pokemon, Gallade and Machamp neat, just tip the scales back to being more monster like for some, especially starters.
