Garp is honestly my favourite character in One Piece. He defies the norm of what viewers in one piece believe is correct. He stands for real Justice, for the future protectors of the people. He is just as free willed as the rest of the D characters and his will, will live on in what the future Navy will stand for. Legendary character ✊

pretty sure the only confirmed thing is a different timeslot. Everything else is just speculation. They can't fix pacing unless they start doing it completely differently, ie switch to seasonal/filler arcs/remaster older arcs regularly. They're already pretty close to catching up to the manga and if they do the typical 3-4 chapters per episode like most anime do, they'll catch up very quickly

The woman that yelled at Garp in the flashback is Vice-Admiral Hototogisu (voiced by Arisa Tsuruno) she is named after the Japanese name for the lesser cuckoo & that she is one of the female subordinates of Vice Admiral Tsuru you can see her during the Dressrosa arc

Thank you for showing your feelings, it's beautiful to see, this Episode also made me emotional right from the beginning, the scene with lesson 1 and than after that the Episode title "the last lesson" was so epic, it already felt like a special episode and this picture of coby and the repitition of the question "who do you want to save?" and then the epic Animation of cobys fear and all that, the awesome Reval of his training and by that showing one pupil of garp who also trained as hard as kuzan but chose a better path for justice and then after corbys success all the little flashbacks from the past, his development and garps Trust in him were so beautiful and the garps final speech, so epic and perfectly captures one of one pieces core theme: believe in the new generation and see hope in the young, because they are the future ❤ beautiful arc and for me also the best episode of the year, and one of my favorite one piece episodes now what a sendoff! ❤
