The LAST N class in Gippsland! - Steamrail Victoria's Warragul Shuttles | 2024

On the 15th of September 2024, Steamrail Victoria operated shuttle trips between Warragul Station and Longwarry Station with 109-year-old steam locomotive A2 986 'Spirit of Warragul' aswell as V/line diesel N456. This event took place over a weekend between September 14th and 15th and concluded with a transfer running from Warragul to Newport Workshops where Steamrail is based. While completing the event, the train travelled over the new duplicated track between at Longwarry, aswell as on the transfer back. The train would also make history to be one of the last scheduled N classes to run on the line after the loco-hauled Bairnsdale train got replaced by VLocitys.
