I loved your reaction and, more than that, your final thoughts. You're so emotional and this episode hit the right spot. I love people with emotional intelligence. Henry never killed anyone or anything before, but his turned to infected brother, that's tragic. What is the last of us? The love, in which we must hold to; hope, that last bit that never should fade away; humanity, which can make us feel empathy, but also revenge... This game, and this series by extension, are about that, everything you said. That's why is my favorite. You're gonna looooove second season. And lastly, something said in the second game: "It takes but one candle to dispel the darkness". That's what everyone who shows love to people does. This video made me feel it, your love for your people. So, thank you!

The actors portraying Henry and Sam both got nominated alongside the Bill and Frank actors. The actor who played Bill won but if I could give them all awards I would. This show is soooo good and I can't wait for season 2.

Yeah, TLOU writers are BIG into 'perspective' and the breakdown of 'bad guys and good guys.' A lot of their writing forces you to see the humanity in everyone involved in a situation, no matter what 'side' they are on. It's a running theme, for sure.
@bigpictureguys84154 күн бұрын
Well they definitely abandoned that philosophy when it comes to you know who

The fact that Joel still lunged to help Ellie even without a gun before Henry shot at him just shows how much he cares for her. You know that had Henry not pointed the gun at him, he would have scooped her up in his arms and held her after witnessing Sam’s murder. And that scream/cry/whimper Ellie let out after Henry took his own life was SO. REAL. Bella and Pedro are both so expressive with their eyes, and I’m so glad so much of the cast was nominated for Emmys! Pedro deserved his SAG award, and both of them need their Emmys for Season 2!

Beautiful breakdown. You absolutely get the point of this show. While it’s tough, I think it’s worth it. It’s cathartic in an odd sort of way to sort of be reminded of how fleeting life can be, take advantage of the time we have now and build those relationships before it’s too late. A lesson Joel so desperately needs to learn. Keep going ❤

I always love the talks at the end of your videos. You have a really beautiful way of looking at the world. There's this light to you that's just so beautiful, this passion that you have for Movies and TV shows, your love for the characters, the way you're able to see how all the pieces of a story fit together, and the message that the writers are trying to tell us. It's like a stepping stone for you to share your own thoughts and struggles with the world to try to help people, to give them hope, that's your gift. In the video you talked about mortality, and that you're seeing white hairs in your hair. It made me think of the scene from Outlander 3x9 where Jamie and Claire are on a ship and he's holding her in his arms and he talks about her hair, I love what he says. "I like the grey. The way the light hits it. Like a piece of silver moonlight."

The dark side of love is the crux of this show and the central moral quandary at the heart of it. This is the 1st example of how love can make us do (arguably) objectionable things.

I think the name of the show (and game) really ties into the fact that it’s all about relationships. It doesn’t say “The Last Humans” or “The Last People in the World”… it’s about “The Last of Us”… “Us” is so critical in conveying relationships and togetherness. Also, you can see the show (even more than the game, they are of course incredibly similar) is kind of a framework story… we see different perspectives of different “last” groups as Joel and Ellie travel and interact with them. And each set of people have their own clear stories of how they and their loved ones survive. Great reaction as always!

Back when I first saw it, I was really not ok for a few days because of that ending. Sam was such a sweet boy and I can't even begin to understand the pain Henry experienced after shooting him. I think the final straw was Ellie's scream/whimper/sobbing as Henry pulls the trigger on himself. The whole scene felt so real, I almost forgot it's only a show. Incredible acting from all of them. And great reaction from you!

Lots of people love episode 3 the most, but this one is my favorite. I can never not cry when Sam and Henry die. And in the game there is this point in the tunnel where they start playing ball like that. Just a wholesome little moment of kids getting to be kids.

This series is excellent because the game is excellent. These feelings you feel, this almost “discomfort” in sympathizing with something that you wouldn't sympathize with in your everyday life, is one of the things that makes this game/show what it is. He shows you that nothing is so simple, it's not black and white, and maybe if we walked in other people's shoes, we would do the same thing. This concept is almost the soul of this game/show.

The point of this show is that morality is very subjective, most circumstances are gray, everyone is a saint….until their is one bottle of water left in a drought, I like watching your reaction because it’s not otter nonsense, and what you said I’m pretty sure everyone watching this has had similar thoughts before about life in general, we might have our own way of coping though….our humanity is why our species have lived so long, if you take away all the science, religion, politics, and the drama in general….all we have is ourselves
