All the Joel and Ellie Scenes from the Last of Us 2 compiled together in one neat packaged. In the sections where they can explore together, I left those complete uncut. Honestly, the museum exploration section is my favorite in the game. Hope you guys enjoy the vid!

Last of Us 3 starts with Ellie waking up from the anesthetics in the car, Joel tells her the truth, and they move on with their lives in Jackson. Ellie later meets Dina, have a kid named JJ, moves to a farm. Joel, Tommy and Maria routinely come visit and play with little JJ. Abby was eaten by a random clicker. The End.

I still can't believe how misleading the "Joel" Trailer was. I would've preferred the story I thought that it was implying: - Ellie finally learns the truth about the Fireflies from Joel - Loses her girlfriend to unknown killers and wants revenge - Joel decides to help Ellie on her journey - Abby is a mysterious badass character that you can play as and becomes an ally later (-_-) - Joel and Ellie have a heart to heart moment and she forgives him :) - Ellie finds her girlfriend's killers with Joel and Abby - Boss fight that possibly leads to Joel dying a heroic death - Ellie finally has her revenge and possibly mourns Joel - THE END I seriously thought this was going to be the Story... Poor Joel... :'(

@Deathlygunn
@Deathlygunn 4 жыл бұрын
I kind of think that's the point though. If they'd done it like this and done Joel teaching Ellie as a tutorial then we'd have all been ready for Joel to die, and though we'd have been sad it would have been accepted. Whereas in the final product, Joel dies before you get to spend any time with him, like Ellie the player is angry that he's gone so soon and without purpose, and as we go through Seatlle it feels like somethings not right because we don't have Joel there with us, but then we get scenes like the museum and it puts a smile on our face as we remember the good times, and get to enjoy the Joel we loved one more time. If they'd done it chronologically, I don't know if we'd have experienced Ellie's grief quite as strongly. That being said, if Naughty Dog feel the need to do DLC, for the love of God let it be Joel centric.

I'd debate the quality of the story, but that aside, I'd argue that joel _did_ get his happy ending. Nobody gets to say for how long it lasts, which is why joel says he'd do it all over again. He cherished the time he had with ellie and what he gained from having her in his life. Walking through his house was oddly heartwarming for me, because it showed that he wasn't the savage survivalist he was in the first game anymore, he spent his time fixing instruments and carving wood into beautiful sculptures. Abby is the result of the grizzly past finding a softer and kinder man.

I took inspiration to write a better story: A story centered about forgiving and acceptance. Have Abby much younger when she witnessed her father's death and does not know Joel's name. Abby grows up a lone survivor who has a history of being betrayed. However, during a winter storm, Abby is unable to find shelter and is surrounded by a horde of infected and about to get bit, but is saved by Joel and Tommy (Like in the actual game). The three of them fight through the horde and manage to get back to Jackson safely. They find out Abby is a lone survivor and offer her to stay in Jackson. Abby is reluctant but decides to stay since its winter and won't survive alone. During this time, Abby befriends the people there and even goes on patrols with Joel and Abby. They bond and save each other lives multiple times. The main enemy could be a faction that has been attacking Jackson frequently. There could be a small war going on between the two groups with the players playing as Joel, Ellie, and Abby clearing out opposing faction. During one attack Jackson suffers serious casualties. This leads to an all-out assault from Jackson. Ellie and Abby eventually get the HQ of the opposing faction to find out they are looking for a girl who happens to be immune. They interrogate the leader at the HQ and the opposing faction is now revealed to be ex-fireflies who made a new group after Joel killed most of them. He tells them some crazy man killed everyone there and took a girl who was immune. The ones who didn't die decided to make a new faction that has the same beliefs as the Fireflies but are more brutal about getting a cure. This hits Ellie hard as she realizes what really happened in Part I. Ellie tells Abby she has to go see something for herself and leaves. Abby tells Joel what happened and doesn't know where Ellie is going. Joel realizes shes going back to the firefly hospital from part 1. Joel and Abby then take off chasing Ellie. They arrive at the hospital. Abby and Joel are looking for Ellie in the hospital where Abby reveals her family worked in a hospital a lot like this one and even lost them from an attack. Abby and Joel split up to look for her. Abby finds Ellie in a room that has security camera footage of what happened. Ellies starts crying and Abby starts watching the security camera footage and comes across footage of Joel killing the doctors. Abby realizes that this was the hospital she lost her family in and that Joel is the one who killed her loved ones. Abby is in shock and leaves the room where Ellie is still crying. She finds Joel on another floor and points a gun at him while crying. She asks him the truth and tells him that he killed her family. Joel admits what he did and a boss fight breaks out where you play as both Joel and Abby sneaking around trying to get a jump on each other. Abby wins and pins Joel down. She is conflicted since this is the man that killed her family but is also the one who saved her multiple times and gave her shelter. Joel tells her how many bad things he did in his life but couldn't bear losing Ellie. Abby decides to lower her gun and forgive Joel. Ellie shows up and tells Joel she figured out the truth. Ellie tells him that she wanted the surgery to happen and her life to matter. The two share a heartfelt moment where Joel says he didn't want to lose another daughter. They arrive back at Jackson and Ellie reveals that she found leads to another hospital with doctors and tells Joel shes going. Before Joel could respond, Ellie knocks Joel out. Ellie leaves him a heartfelt note about there journey together and how much she cared about him. The story could end with Joel sitting outside his house at Jackson reading the note with cutaways to a cure being manufactured because of Ellie. Joel picks up a guitar and starts playing. End. Or maybe (this is my perspective ), the surgery succeeded in not only getting the cure but also retaining Ellie's life. I would think here whats goes down. Abby comes to Joel's house and asks for a visit to Ellie(just Ellie, not like Ellie's grave or house, just plain Ellie), Joe hesitate on seeing Ellie and after multiple arguments, he decided to come along with Abby for the final glance on Ellie's grave (in which what Joel think it is ). Upon the way on seeing Ellie, Joe confused as he passes through Ellie's house and instead of leading to the hospital where Ellie is being treated for the surgeon. Inside the hospital, Joel sees Ellie alive and healthy in which shock to his belief that he burst into the room and hug Ellie(or maybe not, or just stare at each other).Abby back down to give them some space and SCENE The End (or something)

Abdul Shah So you somehow manage to claim God of War 4 is a downgrade and this is a masterpiece? Do you even know proper storytelling? I’d rate this game a 6/10 at tops, I’m already trying to submit my review of it to Metacritic but the site keeps crashing. This game has some good aspects and some great highlights, but everything from story, to enemy AI, to variety and so on was lackluster at best and abysmal at worst. This was an unnecessary sequel to a phenomenal game that served nothing but to tarnish its legacy. You’re entitled to like it, but unless you list your own reasons, don’t quote review companies like IGN who have been known to outright plagiarize reviews in the past.

Joel and Ellie are amazing, Joel is absolutely my all time favorite video game character and I have always and will always support his actions in the end of the original, it was beautiful, it was epic and I dig it 👍the process of watching him go from wanting to have nothing to do with Ellie because she clearly brought back memories of his own daughter to finally starting to fall for her in a fatherly way is awesome, the moment I really started to see how much he loved her as a daughter is when he tortures those two guys to find out where Ellie is, when the one guy says "she's alive, she's David's newest pet!" The way Joel growls with rage when he says "WHHEERE?!!!" Gives me chills, to see him go from wanting nothing to do with her to absolutely boiling with rage at the thought of someone hurting her in the worse way, it's epic but absolutely nothing to the sacrifice and act of love he makes in the end, it wasn't just that he finally came to love her as a second daughter but just how much he did, that he literally sacrificed humanity for his baby girl.. dude how can you not love it?

@ajayyss
@ajayyss 4 жыл бұрын
@@kazeclipse7266 Would have made a better story if Joel saw something about their mission of finding him in the WLF base & took those WLF's down with him. Or even if Joel & Tommy would use aliases cause Joel was careful in the first game & would've expected fireflies to retaliate for what he had done. Or ya know, even if Ellie would have finished the job after losing 2 people she loved(almost 3 or even 4), 2 of her fingers, her lover leaving her, sustaining lots of mental damage on the way. The story tried to force down the message that taking vengeance would be bad, meanwhile Abby successfully took Vengeance on Joel and retaliated for her dead friends with Jesse, almost Tommy & beating Ellie up, sounds like successful vengeance to me, just to be cut loose and let go after biting off 2 of Ellie's fingers nonetheless. The message accidentally became: Taking vengeance with mate is a pretty great thing, as long as you don't go all the way. Abby's life got saved after she got retaliation twice, by the one she made suffer most nonetheless, cause she didn't go all the way (Spared Dina & Ellie). Ellie could have cut her losses of Joel & Jesse, accepting she took down 3 of Abby's friends, being grateful for Tommy being alive, have her lover & Abby would have died either way, but she went all in, lost everything & didn't even claim her price. So the second message would be: Attempting to take vengeance you do risk losing a lot you care about, but if you find yourself having lost everything, might as well finish it or you will regret it.

After reflecting on the whole TLOU2 story and pretty much the whole backlash against the story being so..... Empty. Kinda feels as if the game left us just as empty as Ellie in the end. After playing through the game, watching various people react to it. I realized something. It was the most crucial thing i missed. Remember, Joel said " *if somehow the Lord gave me a second chance at that moment, I would do it all over again.* " He also implied that to Ellie with a simple look. As he laid there dying, skull caved in from all the hits, barely conscious, he looked at Ellie, with that simple gesture he was basically saying: " *I'm gonna die, my actions from back then finally caught up with me but if somehow the Lord gave me a second chance at that moment, I would still do it all over again.* " That realisation hit me harder than anyting.

I remember before the first game was released. I was almost certain Joel would die at some point in that story. And while playing it I was so worried! They even tricked us for a bit into thinking his injury was the end of him. But I was so happy they both made it and that Joel got to live a couple of years after. His death in the sequel was kind of expected to be honest. And the way they killed him was perfect for the tone of the game(s). If you've ever lost a loved one, you know that there's never closure to the relationship you had with that person. You feel the pain as your heart breaks and the universe always take them away to soon. I really connected with the story in this game and it all was so well put together. And as with real life memories, you re-experience the beautiful moments and appreciate them in a way that you didn't before. These flashbacks hits harder and feel more valuable because we know this time will not come again, and these moments can't be had with that person again. Part II was sad, painful, but also beautiful.

At 1:00 it feels like deep down Ellie know Joel is lying and did it for her. And she feels very thankful Man i wished The last of us 2 was about ellli finding out about Joel is lying and then she start to look for the fireflies Now you can play with both characters Ellie looking for fireflies seeking answers, Joel looking for Ellie, and then I don’t mind playing with Abby like she is looking for someone to seek vengeance, then later on after we get attached to Abby we find out that she is looking to kill Joel For me this is more reasonable story than the current last of us 2 lol But noooooooooo :( come on naughty dogs you can still do the right thing ! Go a head. Apologize and say : we will do a whole remake for the game and withdraw all the last of us 2 games. And refund y’all money . Now THIS is why we all loved the first game. The bond/chemistry between Joel and Ellie was so special and compelling and showed that even in a world that's dark and brutal like TLOU there is always hope. Joel lost his own biological daughter and struggled for 20 years not only trying to survive but also trying to come to terms with his daughter's death. At first, Joel didn't want anything to do with Ellie and wanted to get rid of her as soon as possible because he didn't want to experience the same pain that he did with Sarah. But throughout their journey, they became like father/daughter. We saw just how much Joel cared about Ellie like his own daughter and how he would do anything to protect her and make her happy. The bond/dynamic between them is what made TLOU such a great game. Sadly that is the very thing that they destroyed in the second game just so that they could tell a poorly written, shallow, hollow, clichéd "cYcLe Of ReVeNgE" story which culminated to absolutely nothing at the end and had no pay off. I find it very sad and disgraceful that Neil just butchered Joel and Ellie's characters just so that he could tell his stupid dumbass revenge story. TLOU1 will ALWAYS be a special game to me (and I'm sure for a lot of people too) but TLOU2 was too dark and edgy just for the sake of it and destroyed everything that made the first game so great.

I get it she wanted her immunity to mean something but she couldn't of just stopped and thought this man has been a father to me and although he didn't respect my wishes everything he did came from a place of love. Idk maybe I am sentimental but I don't think she should of been that angry with him. And in the end she just let's Abby go? All that trouble just to let her go just so Abby can regroup with the fireflies and who knows what they will do next. I loved Joel's character and thought he deserved better. 😭😭
