It's such a familiar soundtrack and yet with mere RAIN it sounds totally different!! I was thinking of the beginning of Fall with Tommy's dam. I should have known better! I can't believe I forgot where this is from. I think I knew it in my subconscious LOL I've play the game 13 whole times after all! Funny what the mere absence of a horse's hoof beats can do when replaced with rain.

@@DeutscherPatrick well, I was alone at the age of fourteen. Was stuck till seventeen, winters were the toughest on everyone but that's obvious. As for how I got our, well I went back to family which I never wanted to. Was better being homeless, till I finally broke. So I walked about 4-5 hundred kilometers out to the country side. And fell back on them.

It's a long story. Too long. All I can say, is that this world is good at putting you in its mouth, then it chews. Then spits you back out. You'll never be the same. You'll be warped and messed up. Like Gum. Funny, and sad how this reality is so cruel to some people.

Why do I find this video in particular extremely relaxing when it shows, clearly, that the world has come to an end? The world as we know it has crashed into a dystopian brick wall; high-rise homes crumble below onto pavements now sprouting trees through its cracks, bridges and cars rust away under a gloomy rain, and not a person in sight. It has all the hallmarks of what the uninhabited Chernobyl is like today and yet it is extremely easy to chill out to! Also, I don't play video games but they are an absolute mastery when it comes to creating a realistic ambience.

I’ve been listening to this for 2 years before I go to sleep. I’m not sure if I already commented here. But this, this is my favourite of them all. A man arrives at a home. Patches of yellow brick peek out between the vines as the rain causes them to bow. The driveway has been cracked and worn down, weeds spilling out searching for any available space. The garden lining the driveway to the right has been over taken by grass as the reeds reach high into the sky, cutting off the sunlight to those below. The twin pine trees to the left have spread their branches outward, unabated, becoming large canapés. So thick that the rain rarely touches the ground beneath them. The garage door at the base of the house is rusted, the copper brown slowing inching away at the cracked yellow paint. The man walks calmly, no anxiety or need to avoid the rain. Taking in every bit of the scenery. The rain hitting the roof tiles, the waterfalls pouring on to the ground, forming rivers swaying its way down the driveway. This is his home, was his home, long ago. Before the disease, before the evacuation, before the riots. His home, his cornerstone, has become just another mound in the way of nature, slowly being clipped away, the memories each brick holds being lost to time as it falls to desolation. The man stands at the door, I ask the reader, does he go inside?
