Joel makes Ellie feel safer but it's the complete opposite for Joel...Ellie makes him feel more scared and I don't exactly blame him considering he already lost a daughter once 💔

It's both their greatest fears realized at the end of the episode. Joel was terrified he would fail to be able to protect Ellie and Ellie was afraid she would end up alone again. Lots to talk about when season 1 is over but I love watching this story unfold with the ladies every week.

I love how Ellie chooses to go with Joel instead of Tommy, no hesitation. To her, it doesn’t matter that Tommy is more physically fit or capable than Joel, the emotional connection she has with Joel is what keeps her going and keeps her alive in her eyes

Fun fact: the movie Ellie is watching is a classic 1970’s Oscar winning film called The Goodbye Girl. It stars Marsha Mason and Richard Dreyfuss. It’s a love story of a single mom and her quirky male roommate. The single mom is afraid to love because all the men she loves always leave her. As their relationship progresses, her young daughter lets the boyfriend know that she loves him like a father. Things come to a head when the boyfriend has to say goodbye to them…for a little while. The selection of that movie by Maria was very slick. I think Maria was telling Ellie that she thought Joel would leave her.

I done shed thug tears for Mando 3 x now! Forget Tommy too. My mans wouldn't have gone through hell & losing Tess in the process if he would've been a decent "KIN" to let him know that he's alive & well. That is yo brother you find a way outside of those walls, away from the community. Done started a whole new family while forgetting about his existing one that had his 6 since before the apocalypse. Keeping the good life to himself! I don't feel the love being reciprocated. Homie needed his Din Djarin armor.

It was nice seeing a group of women actually recognize a menstrual cup. I've seen only a few female reactions who knew what it was. A lot of women surprisingly didn't and were so confused by the scene, one even thought it was a contraceptive. 😂 I get that they're not as common as tampons/pads, but still.

Movie recommendation!! You guys should check out Wind River (2017). It stars Elizabeth Olsen, Jeremy Renner, and Graham Greene (the guy who played that hunter survivalist at the beginning of the episode). It's about an FBI agent who comes over to the Wind River reservation to solve the murder of a young woman. It's a VERY well directed movie. And quite atmospheric, too. Well worth your time. Just be warned that it's a bit of a heavy watch.

No spoilers for future episodes They are still in Colorado at this point There is a LOT of stuff in the series that's not in the game They don't meet the old couple in the cabin or go to Jackson in the game The Kansa City scene takes place in Pittsburgh and Kathleen wasn't in the game The college scene in this episode was much longer and they meet more infected there In the game, they encounter bloaters in Lincoln (Bill's town), Pittsburgh, the college and two others later The biggest difference from the game is that it doesn't start to snow until they leave the college They never meet Frank in the game There was much more to Boston in the game And they find a flamethrower at the college that they use as a weapon
