@@BoleDaPole Probably because it actually isn't. Despite incessant fanboying from its cult following, Bloodborne didn't sell supremely well. Massive Sony budget for just its orchestra alone, yet it only sold like 2.5M copies. It might've actually been a bit of a flop. Darksiders 2 had a budget of $55M which is likely smaller than Bloodborne's, and it selling 2M copies in three months bankrupted THQ. So while I'd love a Bloodborne remastered, it actually isn't a safe bet for Sony at all, which is the only reason they haven't done it yet. They'll need to be even more creatively bankrupt to try it.

I don't see why some of these new additions couldn't have just been a free update for the back compat PS5 version. A rogue-like mode is really cool with replay potential, and the opportunity to go through some early concept levels is really cool (see Bioshock Remasters) But the fact that this a glorified patch with a price tag and a full priced game if you don't have the base game is absolutely insane. So most of the remasters or re releases on the Nintendo side are Wii U games, so barely anyone bought or played them so it makes sense. Even with remasters of old games Nintendo actually puts effort in to making them different from the original releases. So Windwaker HD, Metroid Prime etc. all different at least visually or upgraded substantially in some way. So no Nintendo isn’t the same.

I actually didn't realize this myself either, thinking they were probably at 3 million and settled there after what a disaster it was. Mainly cause this game really had no replay value after beating it. I also heard stories of people returning copies of it in droves and Gamestop refusing returns by disgruntled customers. It is speculative as most of it comes from Reddit and other community groups. One thing is sure that they were doing their damndest to make sure it was a success, mainly for how expensive the game was overall. As it has been confirmed by outlets with the worker layoffs and third party hires being high over there during the making of the game and the Activision/Blizzard Court Case revealing how it ultimately underperformed overall when lawyers examined the sales reports for Sony, when they arrogantly opposed the merger with Microsoft, only to expose their dirty laundry in awkward ways. Namely the accurate sales # of TLOU2.

One of the crazy things I haven’t heard alot of people talking about is the fact that according to the trailer naughty dog did zero updates to the graphics. It’s just tlou2 with some extra level and the “survival” mode. Other “remasters” at least update the graphics….

For real, this is one of the most boring and infuriating revenge story with the worst pay off that all would have been avoided if the characters acted like themselves in the first game, I revisited the beginning of this game after playing the ps5 “remake” and gave up after 3 hours because it was such a huge downgrade

Honestly, I think one thing that people tend to gloss over, is the fact that Naughty Dog vindictively went after anyone who was negatively reporting on this game, and I mean anything negative. From YT strikes to demonizing people by name, trying to get them banned, etc. That alone should have ND boycotted. Just like Andy Bitchford sending thugs to people's houses that reported on the Borderlands 3 leaks. I'll never buy a 2K game, and that includes Rockstar. The gameplay betrayals are bad enough, but when you have them doing real world demonstrative stuff to content creators and fans a like, that should be the reason to boycott these companies.

I pre-ordered The last of us 2 like a dummy so I had to slog through it. It was the most angry and confusing play through of a game I've ever had in my life. I can still remember the staring into abyss empty feeling I had when the realization smacked me dead in the face that yes I actually have to play as Abby-Zilla in the game. I also remember the feeling of wanting to throw my F'n ps controller out the window and put my first through the wall when I finally seen the ending which was the most cowardice and insulting ending to a video game I've ever seen in my life. Learned some lessons from it though, never pre-order again (Which I havnt) and never purchase another Naughty Dog product (Which I wont).

I dont get how people stand up for the game. 90% of the time, they call you immature, going as far as calling you "sheep" for hating it (as if the fanbase isn't split 50 50). The replies on these comments completely confirm this. From what I've gathered, it seems like the supporters insult you from not understanding the story and its meaning. However, the thing is it WASNT told well. There are so many contrivances, plot holes, and characters that stray from who they were built to be. Just because the game has a "deep meaningful plot" (which i still dont see) on surface level does not mean that's the case, especially when you look deeper.

Also I agree the Last of Us II had good gameplay. I would even say they did extremely well at not only conserving the gameplay of the first but also expanding and improving it. To bad the story is complete dogshit (or Naughty Dog shit). Trying to push the tired "revenge is bad" message so poorly and forced was an unbelievable blunder. I saw the news on a PlayStation channel and half the comments were saying something like "The game already looks great, but if they can make it look even better, that's great!". A good chunk of the comments were even saying something like "Naughty Dog fans! We need to all buy this and support our favorite developer so they can bring us more great games!" Some were critical but most were supportive. It baffles me how enslaved normies are. It's the normies who keep buying these games. It's the normies who have only played TLOU2 and like Overwatch and call TLOU2 the greatest game ever made. They're genuine sheep. Druckmann is actually creatively bankrupt. His entire career is literally built off the backs of other people. The main direction of TLOU1 was done by Bruce Straley, with a lot of Druckmann's ideas getting discarded until the DLC, and Uncharted 4 was literally stolen from Amy Hennig, with the original actors for Rafe and Sam leaving because they didn't like what Druckmann did. Uncharted 4 even killed Bruce Straley's passion for the series, as he saw it more as "for the company" than himself. Most Naughty Dog veterans from that point left after Uncharted 4. The Lost Legacy wasn't made by Druckmann either, as it was completely new people. The very first project Druckmann did all by himself was TLOU2, and it is full of clichés and contrived writing.
