He could have ended in a better way, being the Rightful voice actor for Mario in the movie. I personally didn't mind Chris Pratt as Mario at all, and ultimately it was certainly the right move overall to utilize Chris instead since they intend to release multiple movies and it would have been very jarring having Mario change actors when Charles stepped down, but it still would have been an absolutely amazing and a better end to Charles's Journey as mario, it honestly makes me sad that he didn't get to be Mario in the movie.

It's only just now sinking in. It's been just over a week since the news dropped that Charles is retiring from the role and becoming the official Mario Ambassador. I don't at this time know what all that means he'll be doing if not just helping promote Mario games, but for so much of my life, he was the official voice of Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi. I knew the day would come eventually, and sure, if Nintendo wanted to, they could just remix what Charles has done over the years into new configurations for future games, but I think the best thing to do to respect his work would be to in fact recast as they said they would. For almost 30 years, nearly every time you heard Mario say something in a game, it was Charles, people like myself who were children when he started are adults now, some of us with children of our own who play Mario games like we did when we were their age and I think it fair to assume still do today. From "It's-a me, Mario!" all those years ago when we first booted up Mario 64 to "These are my boys!" and one last "WAHOO!" in the movie, his last time may not have been as Mario in a game, even though he did do one last game before the movie came out, but I think this fits as his last to do with the Mario franchise as a voice actor in it. And I know I do not speak for just myself when I say to Charles, "Thank you so much for voicing our Mario!"

Charles Martinet is a legend! This was the perfect way to send him off! He’s been voicing Mario for 29 years and while it is a shame to see him go, I wish him good luck travelling the world and being Mario Ambassador! 👨🏻🔧🧢✊❤️

I didn't notice Luigi trying to eat the salad, bread or at least Mario's mushrooms only to have each opportunity taken away from him by his uncle. The mother giving him a new bowl after he gave up trying was very sweet.

I want to shed a tear as someone who grew up with his voice 1995 was a special year in nintendo's history it saddens me as nobody can replace the innocent wahoo okie dokey voice of charles matinet he will be missed by many gamers but here's hoping he returns at least as a bit part in any future nintendo movies love ya man you are KING OF NINTENDO in my heart

Charles Martinet went out in a bang, especially in the Mario Movie cameos! He's a legend in our books. The GOAT of Mario, Luigi, WARIO, Waluigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi. Thank you Charles for a great journey and making the Mario Franchise awesome!

Here is What i think will happen with Charles Martinet’s future for Nintendo: He will be a Mario Ambassador and keep going to Cons and meeting fans He will problably voice Mario's dad and Giuseppe in Mario Movie Sequals Voice clips of his Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi voice will be reused rereleases of Mario games he has voiced them in. Maybe even reusing voice clips in few future games like the spin-offs like Paper Mario, Mario Vs Donkey kong and the sports titles

The last one actually is from Mario Kart Tour and It's got added today for the new fedora Mario alt which also got addedtoday, it's just one voice line he says "suit up"
@harrybest2041 Жыл бұрын
Those lines were most likely recorded in 2019. Mario (Black Suit) is shown very early in the ID, his number being 48, meaning he was probably finished before the game's launch around the same time as Mario (Musician). Apparently it would be around August 2019 (for the character itself, not the voice clip). We don't know if Charles Martinet recorded his lines in the movie earlier or later than that clip, as the movie was announced alongside Mario Kart Tour in early 2018. It's very possible that Charles Martinet's last line as Mario was in Mario Kart Tour, though not for Mario (Black Suit).
@BK2410 Жыл бұрын
@@harrybest2041 Yup, but OFFICIALLY his last voice line is Mario black suit.
