The Last Recorded Words of David Koresh April 16 & 18, 1993

Күн бұрын

This recording was produced and narrated by Dr. James D. Tabor in 1995 based on live FBI negation tapes now in the public domain. In the recording you will hear the final words of David Koresh, mentioning both Dr. Philip Arnold and Dr. James Tabor, and his ongoing project to write his Seven Seal manuscript and his negotiated plan to surrender and peacefully come out of the Mt Carmel center with his religious community. It is chilling to hear given the optimism and positive attitudes of both Koresh and the FBI negotiator on April 16th, just three days before the unexpected FBI tank and CS-Gas attack on April 19th in which Koresh and his Branch Davidian community perished in the fire (Men 41; Women 46; Children 43, final death count along with four BATF officers). The final exchange comes on April 18th, with negotiator "Henry," the day before the assault, around 2pm. Here you will hear the last recorded words of David Koresh as he realized his agreement would not be honored. The entire tragedy was completely unnecessary--from initial dynamic entry SWAT team raid on February 28th to the CS Gas attach on April 19th--and the resulting fire.
For the full back story see Tabor's book, Why Waco ( www.amazon.com...) and this recent interview on KZbin with Jacob Berman releasing new evidence Koresh was not bluffing in his plan to exit: • Video

I think the government had every intention to never give those poor people and David a chance. This whole incident disgusts me and God forgive me for listening to the press and the government back in 1993 during this horrible incident 😢 I get teary eyes every time he says "We're Americans". He's right and i can't believe our own government slaughtered our own fellow Americans for personal gain. It's just not right. David may not have been a saint, but he was law abiding and had every intention of resolving this matter peacefully 😢

I was a teenager in high school when this happened. I never took a deep dive into this matter. After all these years have passed, I have seen the media/movie propaganda machine go to work on this story. The very first movie that came out about this had these people at the door ready for the ATF and FBI Waiting for them to pull up so they could start shooting. People believed it. Then, too many people pointed out that the holes in the door were going into the building, not out. So they made another movie. People believed that. Now a Netflix documentary in which surely people will repeat to others and speak on. All we really know is that, the US government authorities involved did everything they could to destroy every piece of evidence on this site. I really hope people understand this. As for me. I can't say anything about the people who lived on this site. I know almost nothing about them. These records are really the only truths I have heard.

@Post-Apoc Space Dolphin Posadist from Uranus Not innocent??? What exactly did they do wrong? David was a creepy ultra religious guy but he had done nothing illegal. ...and these "insane" followers of his did absolutely nothing wrong. If these people were "insane", then so is every other person on earth who is deeply religious. Their beliefs weren't that much different from the beliefs of all Christians. They just followed the Bible more strictly than most Christians do. ..and BTW, these were _highly_ educated and intelligent people from all over the world. You clearly haven't done much research into this topic at all if your takeaway is that they were all insane and guilty.

@Post-Apoc Space Dolphin Posadist from Uranus I don't know much about this story. I'm just now looking into it, but after everything I've learned recently about our government, do you think it's possible something else could have been going on behind the scenes, and they made him look crazy? Idk, It just seems to be a common thing they've done.

This tape is a masterclass in exactly what not to say and what not to do. The first thing they should have done is admit that they were wrong and given David the benefit of the doubt. Instead they doubled down on their hubris.

Well, they chose to show their growth and reflections by taking my brother on television with others and insisting it wasn’t their fault and all my dads fault, his claims extremely inconsistent as ever. This has taken way too long! Our recklessness and negligence needs resolving and the aftermath must be made unviable as a crime scene, the children they were so intent on saving underneath treads and good old American red wings or danners or some shit.

This man was possessed by demons. You can see it in his eyes. Man should only cleave to one wife, he was sick in the mind as were all of them, the innocent children in isolation didn't know better either. Truly an evil man twisting the words of the bible for his own sick gains, ultimately leading him to burn many people alive, while shooting committing suicide. He is in hell.

Dr Tabor, Thank you so much for all you’ve uploaded and all the recent work with the KZbin community. I was only toddling around in 1993, but spent my spare time in college researching new religious movements and apocalyptic groups and went down the Waco rabbit hole and read your book, Why Waco. I’m also a social work major trained in active listening and bad negotiation makes me cringe. I’m so glad people are taking your profession more seriously. Even in the popular tv show Madam Secretary, her husband goes into a new religious movement and uses his field of study to talk with empathy and prevent more conflict

Very strange I can’t find the full negotiation tapes that use to be on YT. It’s sickening what those 3 letter agencies did to them and the Weavers at Ruby Ridge. They could have arrested Koresh any day he went jogging up the road, but they needed the raid because atf was about to defunded. Atf shot first, one says they were meant with walls of bullets before even getting out....than how did they climb onto the roof if that happened. One says they shot the dogs when they pulled up and Koresh came to the door which is what happened. The negotiators got caught in a lie saying there was no guns in helicopters, then after Koresh calls them out on it, they say their was guns but nobody shot. Then they had to admit they were shootin but no mounted guns. They were so caught in a lie that the negotiators said “okay let’s leave it at that”. Then at one point they were telling the public they want them to come out but were telling davidians that if they come out in any way they will be shot. Not to mention they put up razor wire around the whole house. They had a video of the whole raid but somehow only the beginning and certain parts were somehow erased, somehow the door went missing which both would showed atf shot first. The HRT knew the davidians only had gas masks for the adults but continued with the plan knowing the children were going to be effected if not die from it. They blasted sounds of dying rabbits and bunch different noises knowing there was a bunch of children inside. Then they play that one song “these boots were made for walking” which was foretelling.

And then of course killed them. It was all about him and his delusions. A pathetic excuse of a human being. Even though clearly David Koresh is crazy he knew the Bible if a negotiator who knew the Bible and was able to listen to Koresh’s twisted theology and actually could act as though they understood what he was saying and sympathized then they could have easily gotten him to come out and probably even sooner. This man wasn’t just evil but had very sincere beliefs that he was doing the right thing and if they played on that they could have gotten what they wanted peacefully.

BUT THEY DIDN'T. The A.T.F. and the government/military wanted to raid the place in military fashion to catch them off guard in their own habitat as they say, to maximize the bust and also to send a message to anyone else that says'' this is the way we will shut you down'' no rules or laws apply - '''we will over run you kill you close you down period'' - i agree with dave being a piece of crap, but to be guilty of following thru with killing all those woman children and men burning them alive - there were def plenty of sadistic minds at the top to cause this.

That's what he was in the process of doing, they had an entire surrender plan in place between David and the rest of the Branch Davidians, The Lawyers and The Federal government. Then the FBI knowing they were wrong according to evidence. So they started destroying everything to cover up their illegal actions. They were coming out in 7 days. The FBI negotiator even ordered David a computer to finish his book faster after the commanders had already decided to go in, the negotiation team wasn't told and were lied too. As we're we all. It was a cult and the leader was a manipulative psychopath. This event alone proved that it was a dangerous cult. Why would he risk the families, pregnant women and children? That showed clearly that he didnt care about them. Used them as human shields basically and for his ego. Lied many several times during the negotiation, broke his promise, typical for his character. And then of course killed them. It was all about him and his delusions. A pathetic excuse of a human being. About an hour before the fire started, one of the fbi commanders did a press release and announced that Koresh had not done anything of his work on the Seven Seals. But then Ruth Riddle exited through the 2nd floor, breaking her ankle when she jumped out the building through a hole made by tanks…and in spite of that and the flames she tried to go back inside and agents dragged her away. In her pocket she had a disc and on it, the completed First Seal. It’s available online - it’s really long and in depth. He only got the chance to finish the first one and he hadn’t been lying when he said the first Seal was finished. Makes me utterly sick.

This is every conversation where the half conscious mind somehow creates a reference to something of which it is willing to concede by no means, and one will encounter the entire gamut of informal fallacies in all of their articulations, inhabiting multiple offenses with one insult after the other... and when you speak to this or these types of people they will never extend to you the charity you are willing to extend to them and they will latch onto absurdities to justify their behaviors and the limited frame of reference will inform their righteousness, as merely the echo of an idea which they came to offhandedly from a friend they disagree with on every other topic, a parents haphazard incomplete and assumptive choice to imagine a set of assumptions and take great offense at the isolated matter at hand, a red herring for dinner and one forgets the pursuit of anything but their own agenda and if truth that standards of integrity would be presented, shrudhdidkemshusfmofkgbridnfkfkf -this is me growing irritated with pecking of my thumbs on an autocorrect mobile KZbin interface and ultimately remembering how much my words in this medium require a list of.... @@l_shaun_bunds_l my comment wasn't necessarily to do them being a minority it was due to them being perceived as a threat for having the firearms. For firing back at officers trespassing on their property. There have been tons of cases where people have called the police for assistance at their home, one instance I can think of was a mentally ill young man who had gotten in an argument with his family and his family called the police to kind of have the police come speak to him and maybe scare him into calming down. And the police walked through the gate he saw the kid in the window and shot him killed him dead on the spot through the window from outside. The family were horrified and freaked out. Basically they're not acting out of good faith, they're coming at you with hostility when you are supposed to be the person with the benefit of the doubt legally. They should only react to aggression. They shouldn't come at you aggressively because that raises tensions and hostility. Particularly when they're giving carte blanche to kill you if they have a hunch that their life may be in danger. People can say whatever they want to but the attitude of kill the threat is absolutely the mentality that officers are trained with and there are certain groups in the country, I just mentioned black people but the Branch davidians fit the category of weird others who the media has labeled as being "disgruntled and violent and ready to shoot you at any minute" To all the detractors, the reality is is that this situation was so unjust the people are out of their mind if they don't think that the ethnicity of the people involved plays a role. Had it been the early 20th century some radical Christian evoking a bunch of Jewish garbage after having visited Jerusalem.. they would have burned the place down and been treated as Heroes
