This template is so good that i also bought the additional training package. Already used in several sessions. Of course i tweaked a lot but in core this template is all you need as promised. Also keep in mind one of my artist was thrown off by Lofi plugins sound (it generates hiss and noise.) Either bypass during recording or add a low treshold gate for it. Other than that it's golden.

It doesn’t matter how many templates people buy. You have to remember 90% of it is talent. If you get a great recording the effects is just the icing on the cake. The raw vocals sounded great before you even put the effects on it. People have to work on their craft first. I’ve recorded songs that weren’t mixed and they sounded so good that I went in with a super easy light mix.

The Parallel Comp track has its input set to “Vocal Bus” so whatever audio goes through the vocal bus, will be put through the parallel comp track.

Yes 👍On the CL1B, 2-6db of Compression tends to be a sweet spot in most cases!

So i notice your hooks and leads all go to the same vocal bus. So you pretty much always process them the same? What if they are singing on the hook and rappin on the verse??

In recording sessions, one single vocal bus is very common for my workflow 👍 In a scenario like you mentioned (very different vibe), you're right. You're likely going to want to make a duplicate vocal bus and tweak accordingly. Hope this helps!

Nah man, so I had most of the plug-ins but some were missing . So I just used the stock plugins and replaced them. For example I didn’t have the D-Esser he had , so I just chose a diffirent D-Esser and tweaked it until it sounded good for my vocals

I personally like using an Aux Track (Send) when utilizing Parallel Compression, but it can be accomplished by duplicating the track, squashing the vocal (I'm using the CLA76 in this example), then blending to taste 👍

I'd recommend replacing the Maag EQ with an EQ that you do have access to. Then just model the same settings (as a starting point) 😎

Yes! This prevents recording your vocals too "hot" 👍 The Maag EQ has its own unique sound, but definitely not mandatory to get good results. I'd start by doing just what you said 😎

this helped me alot, but in the end pro tools just is not my style. I like to open up and for everything to be ready to record the way it was the last time I was in there. unfortunately pro tools has never ever been able to accomplish this task. I dont know if you have the template or done one for Logic as many have seemed to make similar but not quite yours style none the less will attempt to redo yours if you dont have a recommendation or vid. None the less thanks for all the help your techniques are truly universal in method.
