Very excited to buy a copy of this version. Unfortunately I think the Barnes and Noble Christmas sale ended already but whenever this directors cut goes on sale again I’m definitely going to buy it.

It is a very cool version! I'll be selling mine, though, as I the other version matches the latest Lost Years hardcover. :(

@@LaggingLeland There are two versions of The Last Ronin (one is regular and one is the director's cut). There is also a new continuation of The Last Ronin called "The Lost Years" that just came out. That new hardcover matches the regular HC of The Last Ronin. Hopefully, that makes a bit more sense!

Anyone know if this version of the Director's cut contains the entire original story?

Yes. It’s the whole original Last Ronin story. It just has the extras.

can't say favourite turtle. they are all perfect in their role, as family and fighters. I haven't followed the comic series, so am devistated hearing that 3 have died. we all need to be aggressive at times for family, need to be a leader and reflective, need to unwind and have fun, and need to learn and be studious. 4 turtles.

I haven't read the IDW series yet. Should I read all of the IDW first and then this, or can I read this the same time as I start IDW?

I don't think you need to read any IDW first, just know who Karai is and that's about it! I'll tell you below as a very minor spoiler for the IDW series... SPOILER BELOW: Karai is Shredder's granddaughter.

@@Omnibuddy thanks. I watched a few episodes of a TMNT cartoon some years back and do remember Karai, forgot if she was daughter or granddaughter though. I've decided to read them simultaneously, i'm excited.

Yeah, I really dug the original one, not really sure why they made this one white ...now it doesn't match the second volume ...unless they plan to do a director's cut of that one too?

Yeah, dude! I freaking love this story, and the Director's Cut is pretty nice. Now I need to figure out if I should keep the Director's Cut or the regular one since the regular one matches the Lost Years deluxe edition.
