This comic was writen by 1 of the original creators of TMNT, Kevin Eastman. And based off a story he wrote with the other creator Peter Laird, that never got published. The turtles were originally based off parts of their personality, so all the turtles except one dying represents how the two broke apart after TMNT got popular. And in a reunion episode between the two, we learn that they both regret growing apart, and wish they could've stuck together. Which is why the entire story is about Michy reminiscing about his brothers, and wishing they could all be together again.

Mikey was always the most naturally talented, he was just way more relaxed and didn’t care to compete. He just wanted to enjoy life, and it was super heartbreaking to see how they broke him down bit by bit into becoming a heartless savage. His brutality in the comics is insane, it really surprises you how dark he gets.

Yeah last ronin is a canon end for the turtles kinda its confitmed april and her daughter both have the mutagen in their blood which makes you a member of the turtle clan and April begins work on a new batch of turtles. Additionally it's shown that the mutagen causes increases in strength speed and healing factor as you age. Last Ronin mikey was a low tier superhero. A fully aged ancient ninja turtle would be pretty unbelievably powerful.

The reason why Shredder never wins is because he still fight with some honor as a samurai. Best way I can describe it is like in Ghost of Tsushima, the uncle fought with samurai honor against the Mongolians and got his ass kick and people to die because the Mongols fought with dirty tactics. He tried to plea his nephew, Jin the Ghost, to not walk that dishonorable path, but the Ghost does because it’s produces results. Shredder’s nephew is like Jin.

I think it's the other way around... the turtles' lack of action led to Raphael's death, Raph was right, that was THE moment they should have brought war to the foot clan, they weren't too powerful, they didn't have the resources to finish the turtles, proof of this is how Raphael managed to beat Karai into a coma, if he had a frikin team, they would have succeeded, instead Shredder's grandson got the best of them by deceiving the turtles with a fake peace treaty, nothing would have changed if Raph was there, everything would go as planned, they would all die together and everything would be for naught, the same couldn't be said if the 3 brothers ambushed the foot clan with Raph... Raph was right on this one but his brothers lacked the spine to go and fight like warriors

Having Raph on the team made no difference, Raph was right, but no one wants to acknowledge this

​@@ragingwolf2112actually this is what happened the turtles were coming to dinner with April and Casey and got jumped by a strike team and splinter was badly injured and while everyone was talking and worrying about splinter behind everybody back raph ran away to the foot clan hide out and starts killing soldiers silently then coming out and fighting all of them. Then karai was fighting raph and raph dropped both of them in water and when raph stabbed her in the back she stabbed him in the neck and he ran out of breath and had a fatal wound and after that he sank to the bottom never to be seen again

@@mabintykamano9037 good points, but as I said, if every turtle went to fight the foot clan with him the outcome would have been a lot different, they didn't think quick enough, Raph did, they could have easily left Splinter with Casey and he would've been alright, worrying didn't solve anything, but fighting would have solved things, as a consequence everyone started dying

I remember watching a very sad video about the TMNT. It was saying that Michaelangelo was the only turtle who grew human sized. He still had the brain of a child so he collected toys from the sewer where he lived. He got 3 turtle toys and 1 rat toy. He was so lonely that he started calling the turtle toys his brothers and the rat toy his father. The radiation that made him grow also damaged his brain. He was hallucinating for years. Long story short. He never had any brothers or a father. I grew up with the TMNT and the video i watched had me in tears.😢 Mike was so lonely that he spent his entire life playing heroes with his 'brothers'.😢😢

The word 'TEENAGE' in the phrase Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, somewhat foretold the demise of the turtles. In that the turtles won't be teenagers forever; and as we all know, they were killed one by one by the mighty foot clan. But that said, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is still one of the best story ever written. Their legacy lives on forever, 🎉
