The Last Supper - Short Film

Two couples arrive at the home of their old friends from college, Arleth and Sawyer Buckner. It's been eight long years since they've seen each other, and (some) of the guests are excited for the reunion. But as the night goes on, tensions rise as the guests begin to realize something is a bit...off with their lovely dinner hosts.

Actually, the couple were secretly performing satanic occult practices unbeknownst to their other friends... They invited all of them for dinner to poison them and make them an offering. Creepy as hell. This is why too much trust could kill. Never trust anyone too much, not even friends, cause anyone can switch up anytime.

I love this H-short, it's a true masterpiece! Thank you all for the great work you all have done, you are so talented. Thank you once again for this film. It's one of these, that stays in my mind for days and nights in a roll, thinking about every detail, word, movement, times and times again, reliving it in my mind over and over again.. I apologize for sounding like a teen girl at a Justin Bieber concert(for example ;actually, lol, believe it or not, I haven't listened to a single song of that Canadian).., I am just so impressed and excited, recently I haven't watched something that good, and I even haven't smoked any weed. WoW, I can't wait to watch it when I have smoked.. The film is one of those, that I enjoy watching every now and then, but more often. I dunno why, but I'm super impressed and I love it. Thank you for this H-short, which is an absolute masterpiece for me, just my personal opinion. And keep these actors busy - they're incredible. Peace ☮️ P. S. Acting was the only thing slightly lacking. Not sure what caused it. I hesitate to say negative things but out of respect for giving a truthful comment. I really enjoyed the short overall. Spoilers . I don’t love the sodium pentathol choice - truth serums don’t really exist as we think of them, they just kind of lower your inhibitions and you say what’s on your mind - I don’t know all the ins and outs, but people being very alert and aware while they tell their deepest darkest secrets with very little prompting is definitely not accurate. That said, I did like the short overall - the hosts gave off a very uncomfortable feeling, and I feel like what others saw as bad acting was just the hosts being insane, it was supposed to be over the top. The cult angle was interesting - with the religious title, I think if I had been writing this short I’d have gone for more of a Christian cult than a satanic one, but I also see the appeal of turning the title on its head with the satanic thing - either way, I think it would have been fun to play with the imagery of the last supper in the last scene. These are a lot of thoughts, and I don’t have any place to judge how a short is written when I’ve never written a story of any sort lol. I enjoyed watching it either way

Wow... this sucked. Usually when I dislike a movie or short film, I just go "meh, at least it was entertaining" and move on with my life, but this one somehow made kind of angry. Not mad, just REALLY annoyed. The acting is clunky (don't know if the fault lies at the cast's feet or at the director's), the speech is not clear (I couldn't make out two thirds of what was being said, and I really cranked up the volume), the plot is old (but not gold) and anyone surprised by it haven't watched horror movies/shorts for some good 30 years. The "Plot twist" was weak, unnecessary and took me completely out of what little suspension of disbelief I could muster. You don't need to suddenly start "satanic rituals" or sacrifices to get revenge. Hell, if they were just outright killed and the mais couple done with it, I would have liked it. On a sidenote, that's not how "truth serum" works. It actually doesn't work at all, it's a myth, and even if you could jsut buy into the myth, it doesn't work like magic: people subject to it just start speking their mind, don't feel forced to answer questions and could by all means get up and leave. And the depressants would make them drowzy and slowly get to sleep, unless a huge quantity was ingested, then there would be no time for the "confessions". Considering Ian and Dominic both drank the "strong stuff", they would be the first to black out, not first and third in the line. Dang it. 25 minutes I'll never get back. Probably the first time I actually regret watching something. Though I wish good luck for the crew and hope they improve.
