I think Jackie Gleason and the whole cast would be so amazed by how much of a following he had in the 1970-80s I think people today would love his shows. I still get tears in my eyes with the Christmas one -I loved how he got every one out of character and thanked them and wished us all a Merry Christmas. The one where he agree's to be young again and they all go on a date roller skating,Just hearing him say at the end of most of the shows to Alice "Baby,Your the Greatest" was so sweet to here after he could be such a grumpy pus. I like how Alice said to him - I'm the Luckiest woman in the world because you still get jealous if another man looks at me. I Loved the Honeymooners over I Love Lucy.

THE HAT: Art Carneys' son is still in possession of the hat. In 2017 an original musical of The Honeymooners debuted at the Papermill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. Carneys' son brought the hat backstage to show to the cast. The musical was fun and a thrill for many of us Honeymooners fans. So many little 'Easter eggs' put into the dialogue and what a sight to see the apartment replicated live on stage.

I love The Honeymooners, I can't get enough of it because it's one of the funniest sitcom shows all time, not only had lot of laughs also heartwarming touching moments that made it so popular. As a kid I used to watch the show & now I have 39 episodes including lost episodes so I can see them all. Like to thank the crew, cast members & mostly Jackie Gleason because if it weren't for him, The Honeymooners would've never happened & made. 👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Rest peacefully in heaven to Gleason, Carney & Meadows 🙏🙏🙏🙏😣😣😣😣 except Joyce Randolph who's still alive & with us.

Even as a kid, I thought the characters of the Flintstones were based on the Honeymooners. It is only in recent years that I learned Jackie Gleason didn't rehearse for the shows. I rarely noticed any mistakes (which were insignificant) or anyone forgetting their lines. That just demonstrates the great talent of the cast.

Art Carney's character was important, that's true, but it's Gleason's character that I always thought was the best. "Norton" sometimes annoys me but that's probably because I can identify better with "Ralph." I guess both characters needed each other to bring out the talent and the story of what Gleason was trying to accomplish. The show is a gem, in my book. I watched reruns as a kid and I still watch them. Raw talent and true entertainment like this never gets old.

"The Honeymooners" was the original. It established the very broad concepts of an energetic but absolutely lower class family unit. "The Flintstones" were definitely middle class. Everyone had a car and a dog. I saw JG the night he slid across the stage, into an authentic, but prop, cast iron radiator, and really broke his leg. They had to close the curtains.

Honeymooners by far, I had never noticed the similarities with the Flintstones.

I did notice how much Fred and Wilma looked like Ralph and Alice. Even in their personalities. Barney only acted like Ed and Betty and Trixie only had the same hair style and that's it one was brunette and the other was blonde.

Awwh, I was hoping to see a short interview with Joyce Randolph. This was the only sitcom my Father would allow on TV. If I had Lucy, The Beave, or My Little Margie on... I would here a loud "TURN THAT SHIT OFF".

Click bait. I wanted to know a bit about Joyce Randolph. After all, that is what was teased in the title and at the beginning of this video. There were plenty of “facts” about the show and the other three cast members, but hardly anything about Joyce. The only info we get about her was that she was very old and that she remembered Jackie was not impressed with Audrey during her audition.

My favorite Jackie Gleason movies are "The Hustler" with Paul Newman and "Soldier in the Rain" with Steve McQueen.

Do a search for one AWESOME movie in which Gleason played a down+out hobo or something like that. I can't remember the title; it was one word, beginning with a "G", I think. Absolutely unbelievably talented performance!!! Made me cry. I'd forgotten it altogether for many years, but I've gotta hunt it up, now. You'll be amazed!

I have always enjoyed both shows I used to watch Honeymooners on WFLD when I lived in Illinois and the Flintstones I’ve watched forever. Even back in the sixties & seventies we used to watch Jackie Gleason & laughed like crazy when they did Honeymooners with Jane Kean & Sheila McCreae classic TV at its best
