Jaydyn But it’s also a 4 bar ultimate, and a lot of high tier characters have insanely high stamina, so I’m not sure if 4 bars of ki for 3 bars of stamina is always worth it, if they are on low stamina then yes, but if you are pressuring them you would have forced them to burn that stamina anyway.

I'd say Vegito was a "S" tier character from the start, he has some pretty nasty combos and he's got two infinites which can be heavily exploited. Sure Gogeta has more or less the higher damage output fro basic attacks, but Vegito has an infinite that Gogeta doesn't have.

You know, I might have just misinterpreted it. But my understanding from that situation was that Vegito was mostly mocking and taunting Super Buu so that Buu would absorb him, and he could save his children. Vice versa, SS4 Gogeta was mocking Omega Shenron for the purposes of baiting the Negative Energy blah blah. Honestly, I think the two of them are a lot more alike than anyone wants to credit them, and any sincere distinction between how they handled Buu/Janemba may actually be owing to the enemy in question more than the method of fusion. Still prefer Gogeta though, personally. I just like the Metamoran Fusion a lot more than Potara, and found it to be less of an ass pull writing-wise since there was so much time dedicated to building Gotenks. The Earrings were kind of just thrown in off-hand in both of Vegito's appearances, making them both feel a lot less earned than Gogeta's two appearances.

To be honest, after the Broly movie, Gogeta looking kinda hype, but I’m still in favour of Vegito, one, because while Gogeta does look pretty epic, Vegito’s clothes look more like a legitimate mixture of Goku’s and Vegeta’s, and in my opinion, the Potara do look rather good, and the fact that they’re supposed to be used by gods only, and that kinda seems to say something. Two, he has some good attacks. The energy sword is a really good looking attack, as well as a powerful one, both in games, and in the show/manga. And Final Kamehameha looks like a real mixture of attacks from Goku and Vegeta. So in my opinion, Vegito is superior (obviously they’re technically the same strengths, but as a character.) Vegito seems more like an actual combination of the sum of Goku and Vegeta; He uses attacks that are derivative of the attacks that both characters use, rather than pulling rainbow pocket sand out of his ass. Additionally, Vegito is the fusion where Vegeta is the dominant personality in the fusion, considering the name 'Vegito' comes from Vegeta and Kakarotto in the Japanese versions. That in and of itself makes it the superior fusion.

For me it's mostly movie Gogeta. SSJ4 Gogeta was like gotenks and I hate that little shit and Vegito, in my mind, wouldn't be too different personality wise. The same two people are fusing, the methods differ so it's not gonna be too big a shift in personality. Gogeta's appearance was just more entertaining and cool to me. It's 30 seconds but a great 30 seconds with movie budget animation. Vegito just toyed with Buu, it was for great reasons but we didn't see him try much. Vegito's first appearance was like a tamer SSJ4 Gogeta's, one trolled to be an idiot and the other trolled to back Buu in a corner. Movie Gogeta was the only time we saw a serious effort in the original stories and it was just cooler and funner to watch. Now as for the Super movie rumors, we'll see. And not to forget Vegito Blue, yes he put in actual effort, his sass was very welcome but Super made it hard to care but ruining potata fusion. As it stands now, thanks to Super, there's no difference between a fusion dance and earrings. Tdlr: my mind was the most entertained with movie Gogeta and the antics took to make him happen. The others are rendered moot for various reasons listed.

Technically the Fusion Concept that was introduced first was Fusion Dance (Gogeta) and when Gohan was losing against Buu, Goku told to the kais that if he fuse with him using the Fusion dance maybe they could defeat it.

Ok, I like Gogeta more because his ORIGINAL attitude was just straight to the point, don’t give a f*k attitude. With a face and few words that say “Death comes for us all and today just for you, his name is GOGETA.” Also yes, your counter point that Vegito’s not bad for not finishing off his opponent with a counter that Gogeta didn’t kill Omega is valid. But that’s just a 50/50 mood point.... where’s your point that Vegito’s BETTER??? And if I must, ssj4 Gogeta’s goofing around is what pushed Omega to the point in releasing his negative energy ball so that Gogeta could convert it to positive energy to purify the earths atmosphere from the deadly toxins that had covered it previously from Omega earlier. Which was the whole tragedy in Ultimate Tenkachi’s custom story that even after the hero beat Omega, raw power wasn’t going to purify the earths corrupt atmosphere in the end so you couldn’t actually save earth entirely. Had he gotten straight to the point everyone would have been f*cked. Ssj4 Gogeta was a lot goofer in GT but only in ways that I didn’t like BECAUSE... IT FELT LIKE VEGITO. Always so cocky and just waiting around to watch his opponent struggle. Preferring to play games then being more engaged to get to the point. Vegito’s plan from the start was to get absorbed. Maybe Ssj4 Gogeta’s was the same in waiting for Omega to give him an opportunity to solve the bunk atmosphere problem. Don’t think I don’t see you constantly rerouting the problems of Gogeta to GT because there AREN’T and obviously no one talking about it as much because no one’s ever referring to “THAT” Gogeta. Of which the reality is it was just a Vegito 2.0 scenario told differently. Summery: Gogeta is favorited because A. He looks more appealing AAAAAND... B. His original attitude was way cooler. C. He has finisher is also cooler in my opinion. D because why not. At certain shots splitting Gogeta’s face in half literally shows 1 side Goku 1 side Vegeta and that secret aesthetic is beyond anything cool Vegito has. Vegito is just a calmer yet still cocky Vegeta with a beam sword.... Gogeta is a badass strong silent type (except in GT where his personality is just copy paste Vegito sooooo...). More original positives and personal preferences for Gogeta as stated. That’s why “He’s the better fusion” Also fun fact: Gogeta came first. As it was the plot for fusion reborn that Toriyama was told about that inspired him to create Vegito in the main story for the manga as a sort of coolness counter balance towards the movie.

Gogeta is my favorite not because of the design of him, but his personality. Even though it's not Canon but Gogeta in Fusion Reborn was a lot more serious and wanted end his fights ASAP. I think that's what I like about him the most.. he's just a major badass in my opinion

Little tidbit: toriyama stated you don't need to have the same power level to fuse using the dance which is what most people say about the discussion when discussing their power to each other. Also been stated that the fusion's power during the dance is brought out to the greatest extent compared to the Potara fusion. And before you go to the Toei guidebook for the fusion dance those multiplers for that makes no sense when you actually do the math fod the dance. If those were the official multiplers for the dance than Ss4 Gogeta shouldn't have rocked Omega's shit. Same with Gotenks versus Super Buu

Personally I think they have the same multipler for the fusions just the Potara has a longer time limit. And before you bring up the fact that the supreme Kai in the anime said the Potara is stronger that was a mistranslation. In the manga it was stated to be better because it last forever or so they thought

I like Gogeta's design more, Soul Punisher is one of my favorite moves in the series. Its so simple but powerful & unique, compared to all of the other gigantic blasts we see. I like that just slightly more than the spirit sword. The movie appearance might have been super short, but in that moment Gogeta was serious and just looked badass. I specifically like Super Gogeta. Super Vegito and SSJ4 Gogeta should have been so much better. The Fusion was hype but they didn't take the fights seriously, they both acted like goofballs. Blue Vegito came and left basically just as fast as Super Gogeta. So I give the edge to appearance and unique moves.

Vegito spirit sword is one of the Best ultimate in the game, because if you land the first hit you CAN'T limit burst out of it, so i think he is S tier, because he can kinda cancel super armour limit burst

I like Vegito more tbh, he to me has more character and a better design (also my opinion) plus the problem with arguing well he never beat someone is that A, Buuhan could just regenerate, for those saying no he can't regen from vegito's attack he regenerated from The Final Atonement so even if he got disintigrated I think he would still be able to regenerate, plus if he did kill Buuhan for good, he would've killed Gohan Piccolo and Gotenks (which they died anyways but I think they somehow forgot about the namek dragon balls so they didn't think of reviving them), and with Zamasu you can't argue that Vegito could've ended Zamasu, he could take out the physical form of Zamasu but then he would just go into and become the universe like he did when trunks killed him so Vegito had to fight two damn near immortal enemies and Gogeta fought Janemba whom he killed, Omega Shenron(non Canon) and didn't kill him outta pure cockiness and now Broly whom got wished back to Vampa by cheelai. Vegito's cockiness is what does it for me cause he shows that he'll kill you and then proceeds to almost do it until you realise that his enemy is immortal if they weren't he would kill them easily, Gogeta really doesn't speak much and just gives a good fight sequence and my God GT did a horrible cocky Gogeta, the thing about Vegito is that he doesn't just play around with the opponent if he doesn't have to, with buu he did because wanted to be absorbed to get the three our of him and then with Merged Zamasu He fought with the intention to kill and perfectly implemented his cockiness in the fight in that he showed Zamasu that he isn't the only one capable of doing the things he does until the fusion ran out cause y'know retcon BS. Gogeta literally fucking played with Omega like a child and when Goku and Vegeta tried to fuse again, they couldn't cause Omega was smart and didn't let them.
