The first car I had set a goal to get was a foxbody coupe. Many years of my teenage life were spent obsessing and dreaming of owning one after I drooled over a green notchback in my neighborhood. So time went on, I aquired my license and my first car. Had fun with my first car, and that started my modding obsession. Eventually I saved enough money and found a not so great example of a notchback Mustang that I pulled the pin a purchased. For the next 5 years, I grew extremely attached to that car. I didn't make much money then, just enough to keep it going. I was able to do some small mods but nothing that I had envisioned. Despite all of that, I created not just memories, but stories with that car. I never thought I'd part ways with it. Figured I'd save and build the car the way I wanted. But realistically the wasn't foreseeable with my income, knowledge and time. So I unfortunately did sell the car and let me tell you, that was a heartbreaking moment. I lost a piece of myself with that car, but letting it go was necessary for me to aquire the "next step". I eventually found a mint, tastefully modified 97 cobra that came to me with a blank canvas for creating new memories. Every car has a story has a story to tell.

I could see you tearing up. That is exactly how I feel after I have a nice car that I have to give up. First it was a 70 Camaro. I bought that car for $300 bucks. I fixed it up the best I could as a teenager. Then I joined the Army. In 1983, I got an 80 Saab 900 EMS. It would cruise at 130 kph like no tomorrow. I traded that off on the most awesome pickup I have ever owned, a 1988 GMC S-15 Sierra, jet black with red pin stripes. That truck didn't even have a radio in it. After I got an aftermarket stereo, it was so awesome. I drove it from Ft. Hood Texas to Ft. McClellan, Alabama and it was (in those days) like driving a Cadillac! In 2009, I got a brand new Saab 900. That was the biggest lemon I ever had. I traded it off on a 1993 Mercury Sable, which was an awesome car. In the mean time I had a 1987 Mustang GT and then started into SUVs and eventually pickups when i retired from the Army.

I feel you. Not the same caliber, but my first big purchase was a 2000 GMC Sierra and I had that truck for 14 years up until October 2018. It was a hard thing to do, leave it behind. The only thing that made it easier was getting my Raptor. You at least have found memories of the AMG and they're documented. So while it might be gone, it's never really gone.

As a guy who really likes cars, I feel his emotions of leaving his beloved C63 :( There was an occasion where I was forced to lease a car for a flight trip to another country. I couldn't ship my car to the country I was going. (law requirements) Anyways.. I rented a 2018 Renault Megane RS.. a pretty basic and practical car nothing special about it, I rented it for about a week. & let me tell you.. it's just hard to forget the small little moments you had with it, from that small minor mistake you commit on the road, to the longer road trips you've travelled with it. I was so greatful that it kept me safe during my whole trip, and the smile it gave me on my more spirited driving moments.. but as greatful as I was, I was that much more emotional after I had to give it back. I started crying like a baby lol. Even if it's "just a car", I saw it more as a great friend who I had to let go of. I couldn't leave it without saying goodbye to it one last time, I felt like I was abandoning a great old friend! I can only imagine how emotional this man got when he gave away his AMG C63, and unlike in my case, his car is a much nicer car. In a whole other league from the Renault and unlike my 1 week term rent, he had it for over a year, and it was his! Heck! I would've instantly cried my eyes off.. Much respect for Mike, and his passion for cars!👍 🚘💕

I know how you feel Mike, unfortunately I have to sell my S65 AMG and it really hurts!!! :( All the emotion and memories keeps swelling up as the day closes to a sell.... I sure gonna miss the cold starts, the 740pft that pushes you back into the seat, the never ending power, even at high speeds.... I remember doing around 200mph and it still kept going.... truly a master machine! But life goes on and you have keep up with it... "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner." Robert DeNiro, Heat.

I remember when you first started looking for an AMG and you bought it, waited for it to ship, took delivery, hydrolocked, and then took delivery of this one. Doesn't seem like it could have been that long ago. Can't believe its already gone :(

A $300k Ferrari and lives in a $200K Townhome? Has his Priorites in order..Will need $100k for that daughter, another $50k for her Wedding and another $50k for her and your Son-In-Law to buy a Condo or Twnhme or SFH.. Been making some good $ off You Tube have we? Need more Tax Deductions? Depreciate it over 5 yrs? and everything else that goes into it and the $10k yr Insurance will be Deductable.. How come u don't mention all that ? Ahh yes, once a Used car Salesman, always one..I can see the wife, getting out her Former Divorce Lawyer business card now...LOL
