Many daters chose their children to advise & assist them throughout their dating journey. I think Nate selected Jackie to be the person to advise him. He was receptive to her input & involvement throughout the process. Based on the stubbornness & arrogance he demonstrated during the show, he appeared to be the type of person who would not have tolerated her input or involvement if he did not want her around. Many people believe that she imposed herself on him. What do you think?

@togo2africa I think there is a blurred line there. She did impose herself BUT he may be using her as a crutch. Is she the only person around who could help? She picked out bad outfits for him. Was it sabotage? 🤔 They need some distance so a love interest can FIT in their lives.

@@elcid932 I don’t think either of them want to be in a serious relationship with anyone else. She seems to be there for him when he wants & needs her. He may have had difficulty maintaining a long term relationship with his wife or other women because trauma from his military service caused him to have psychological and physical challenges that have affected his ability to satisfy many of their basic emotional & physical needs. He is not getting any younger. Although he may want to be with someone else, I suspect that he believes that Jackie is a ride or die woman. I also sense that he doesn’t want to lose her and be alone in case he can’t find another woman who he can rely upon to take care of him as he ages and his condition worsens.

@togo2africa good point. Then they can br great companions but their closeness can be a hindrance if either wants someone romantic.
