Cam Rising was the 1st Team All PAC 12 QB in 2021. Also, regarding Utah TEs, keep an eye on Thomas Yassmin. That guy's a beast at 6'5" and well over 250 lbs. Even though he's huge, he also has a certain elusiveness to him. He averaged 23.2 yards per catch last year on 13 receptions with 6 TDs and a long of 72 yards. Depending on how Kuithe progresses with his injury, Yassmin might take a lot of snaps this year.

I think they start Rising with a tight leash around his neck. This is only game one of a very long season. No need to waste that season on FL. That being said, their coach will know early on if a hobbled Rising gives them the best shot to win over bringing in one of their available backups. We keep hearing that it is a day to day decision on whether or not Rising will play, but I think it will be a series to series decision on do they take him out.

Utah has been playing “gamesmanship” all summer. Rising has been progressing and practicing. It was absolute BS that he wasn’t practicing until now and then was named the starter. I used to have great respect for Whittingham but not anymore. Unfortunately, Utah will win big because the Gators won’t be able to handle the high tempo offense with altitude and will be worn out by halftime.

I've read many comments from those who have athletic experience at higher altitudes and they all say that in football at least, the advantage is overblown. But long distance running, cycling etc., you are defenitely at a disadvantage by not being acclimated.

The injuries to Cam and Kuithe are the reasons they came back for this season. They would be gone last season had they not got hurt. Cam really needs to show he can play a season without injury.
