This is my very first KZbin video! I can't believe nobody has done a video of "The Latke Song" by Debbie Friedman yet. This started out as a project for my 5th Grade Sunday School students, and they loved it (I think)... I hope the rest of you enjoy it too.

I can't tell you how happy this makes me. It reminds me of the kooky stuff that I see at the Jewish Community center. We Jews seriously have such incredible humor and creativity. And I love it. Light-hearted fun. I wish life could be more fun like this for everyone...

Love this song!!!!!!! I love this third line about feeding latkes to people like in Somalia because we did when I was at Hillel do exactly that. We fed latkes to homeless people with sour cream and apple sauce

@LleraCronicas They're latkes made with food other than potatoes. If you actually bothered to look it up, you'd see that there are special recipes for diabetics. They're not true latkes, but that doesn't mean that people can't treat them as such.

I apologize for having not done the research on the singer songwriter of this incredible video. Debbie Friedman lost her life to pneumonia in 2011, just 5 years after this video was posted. Meanwhile, a poster below my posts wished her the worst...all I can say is shame on that KZbin poster.
