Your podcasts are exhaustive enough for nerdy theologians to digest and enjoy, and plain and clear enough for laypeople and babies in Christ to grow healthy in faith. God bless🙌

You have stated a lot of Good. At 29 minutes. I am a Christian a member of the Seventh day Adventist church. We agree with Pelagius. But the does not teach works save. Amen we must do the first use of the law. I am a Seventh day Adventist. We agree. I agree on Unity. Also Sanctification. God is love.

Discovered the Marrow of Modern Divinity last year through a Preacher Boys podcast. It has been a great help to me and is why I'm here trying to learn more about those theological ideas.

So good. I think it’s recently that I began to pick up what you guys have been saying in the last several episodes about proving your faith. That is what I always felt about much of the preaching I heard, but couldn’t articulate it. Jesus saves, he may have even saved me, but now I have prove I’m saved. Horrible. Honestly, I feel like that message nearly shipwrecked my faith, but God is faithful to rescue his own. I appreciate your work and care in leading many of us beat down sheep, back into the joy of our salvation.

Whenever the Law is preached I think of this. (We used to sing this as a song) Psalm 19:7-11 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

There was a time I thought that Jesus died for our sins only if we stay obedient and holy consistently. Oh how I tried to be good so that Jesus will die for me too. But when I found out that He died while I was still a sinner and when the Holy Spirit made the verse alive John 3:16" For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have eternal life" I was like wow. Whoseoever believeth in him, I read again. It spoke to me like never. I know this verse all my life but the way it hit me that day. It was different. Today I rest in him and what He did for me. Today I try my best to live in obedience not to earn but because I am given a new life

2 Corinthians 5:17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.) 1 Corinthians 1:30 ( so that no [ad]human may boast before God. 30But it is [ae]due to Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, [af]and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, 31so that, just as it is written: “LET THE ONE WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.” ) Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:) Romans 8:32 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?) Hebrews 10:10 ( By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.) It's justification that qualifies us for the inheritance in Christ which includes righteousness and sanctification completely independent from any human performance...So that no man would boast.. It's very clear from the scriptures that we have sanctification once and for all in the past tense positionally in Christ.. It's important that when we talk about the things in scripture we use biblical language while sanctification is in the Bible the phrase progressive sanctification is not and it has caused so many problems for so many people as they look away from Christ who is our sanctification and look to self...
