Tom's final words about the heroes of 9-11 and how we should live our lives now were very beautiful and inspiring! The saxophone really stood out when Bobby and Elaine were dancing. It sounded so smooth!

I take it this show was made in 2002, with Tom Netherton hosting brilliantly, from a show made in 1980 "Salute to Male Singers" ......

I can remember the times when Lawrence Welk would be playing on Saturday nights & I would watch the show with my late grandmother. I was a young teenager at the time. As soon as I saw Tom Netherton on the show however, I immediately fell 'head over heels' for him & he became my all time fave singer...Such a lovely singing voice & handsome good looks...He certainly would've been my ideal type. :)

I grew up with the Lawernce Welk show with my grandparents and my parents and now watch it on PBS but I so agree with you about Tom. When I was in college my girlfriends and I would get together and watch the LW show and couldn't wait until Tom came on. And nearly swoon... LOL but kind of true. :)

@@conniehull1141 That's awesome! Whenever I saw him, my face would get super red & I'd blush like crazy...He was so stunningly handsome, & very talented...Btw, I have several YT videos that I've made that feature Tom & if you'd like, you're welcome to check 'em out if you haven't =)
