@tompugh69179 ай бұрын
The Shed Weasel is a project my buddy and I are working on. It is based on a Triumph TR6. We are using the running gear but are fabricating our own body. It is a cross between a Lotus 7 and a Morgan. The name originates from a Blackadder quote, "It is a plan so clever you could pin a tail on it and call it a weasel", and we are building it in a shed. The plan is sidetracked right now because my buddy and I are deep into restoring a 1947 MGTC. Our goal here is a good looking car from 20 feet away. We call our operation CRAP, Classic Restoration And Preservation. Cheers from the west coast of Canada. @@oakswamp

By the way I live in a junkyard. I have about 40-50 cars pick-up trucks, and several big Simi trucks, and around 30 motorcycle and ATVs, I get a kick out of the big engines in England 750-900-1ltr . My 1972 IH cab over engine wrecker I'm currently working on has a 855 CI 2 cycle Detroit Diesel! That's about 14 ltr and the cylinders hit every time they hit top dead center, it' was rated at 318 HP But I built it to 450 HP 1000 lbs ft of torque "note i used the English way of saying that"?😂 Over 30 years ago it' sat in the desert for about 25-30yrs after the man I built it for died of old age, I just traded my 1947 Harry Ferguson farm tractor To own this one, I used a similar brew like you made for the sized 4 banger you freed up, and shot it with carb cleaner and she fired stait up first try, once running it self primed the fuel system and immediately settled into a buetiful idle, I was beside my self. So I killed it the old fashioned way, next start up I pegged the governor 2 times and got a face full of packrat shit out of the fan shroud, if interested hit my KZbin channel and see a couple of shorts on the old girl, as you can see I have enough projects to keep me busy way past my death 💩🤠 I'm all alone now, my true love passed away some 19yrs ago, and I am the last living member of my family. But at age 60yrs I am back in the saddle, and depite a shit fuckin load of health problems, l decided to start back doing what makes me happy 😮 working on old ugly off the beaten path shit, doing it with no money Scrounging and trading for what I need!❤❤❤ 🇺🇸🇺🇸 for it but the engine was seized, after 4hrs of prep . I got her un-stuck

Great to see a culture emerging making hot rods out of old British cars using British parts and engines. I get so bored with the usual Early American Ford/Chevy engine mixture and are like a breath of fresh air. I'd like to see a fenderless Ford Pop or similar with a Riley 2.5 liter engine out of an RME as it looks so good. The Leaf looks so good but that engine needs some parts - including an aircleaner - to make it look as old as the car its in.
