Random facts: Otto is the show creator and her married to Gemma in real life. Also, Happy was an actual member of Hells Angels. Gemma also sings a lot of the songs you hear throughout the series

Chibs, growing up Scottish (as you can tell through the cuts on his cheeks being something that would happen in the rougher parts of Scotland, also had direct dealings with the IRA (Irish)... meaning that out of everyone in the club, he would have been the one most familiar with the use of "car-bombs" and knew the tells or one being used. Which is why he was able to run away in time. But that doesn't mean that he can escape completely unscathed by one going off, as you can see. HOWEVER, this one event kicks off one of the BEST character story-lines in the entire series because of how emotional it gets and the personalities involved. And to think that when this happens to him, your ONLY concern is is he okay..... but after a few more episodes (and season 3) you REALLY want to know exactly WHEN he becomes "okay" and back to his normal self in regard to being able to "relax" and NOT "taking care of his business".
