LoG had the legs to go on a lot longer than 3 years had it ever been pushed into sitcom mode. To the writers credit, they didnt want that. The characters were so vividly drawn and they packed so much into each episode, it kind of ran its course quickly. It was never situational, and therefore never dull, more a comedy show with familiar characters, but with that there was only so many directions they could take each character. But Royston Vasey remains lodged in my brain and i saw the live show in 2003. Bold, brilliant, and bonkers.
