I missed getting into OPTCG when it came out...I cannot fail jumping in on this from the start.

Its not too late to get into OPTCG, its actually been pretty “new player friendly” lately. with the past sets and st decks its actually pretty cheap to build a competitive deck.

Riot showed us they didnt care for LoR why would they care for a TCG? It was THE BEST online card game in existence.

This reminds me of the WoW tcg to Heartstone, LoR was good but imo it wasnt AS good and engaging as it should have been, there was something missing, I hope they find it now. Also let's be honest nowdays the real money and engagement in card games are physical, nothing beats opening cards, if you wanna mix that later with online is great but it need physicial aswell imo

They did care by making the best f2p(Crafting cards) and PVE but made no money from it.
