This may be very late, but if you still have the slightest interest in this game, I ask you see how HiRez have been handling the lore recently.

HiRez really sucks at balancing. They can't balance champions, or talents, or cards, or items(Cauterize being the most picked item for more than a year and a half now?). What's next? Burn cards being reintroduced? Relics from Smite? Consumables? The game is just too complex for any dev to balance it, especially devs at HiRez who really don't give a damn.
