The Legacy of Hogwarts is tainted

What a shame as I wanted to like this game so bad. But far too many things stood out to me, preventing me from having an enjoyable experience. It is not a bad game but its also not a good game. It is so frustrating at how mediocre this game is.

I watched these movies with my young growing daughter who passed away in 2020. She was a huge fan, I read her the books even…while you do make very valid points I loved this game.

That breaks my heart to hear man. I am sorry for your loss. While I do critique this game, you have every right to enjoy it and I know many folks did. I have my qualms with this game, because I love the series that shaped my childhood as well. I felt the need to make this video because I want the games that follow to improve where I think they could. I am rooting for these games.

I understand you. Im 26 years old and not a hardcore gamer anymore...i bought an xbox just to play this game... the first few hours i was amazed just to be part of the wizarding world. But after i was feeling underwhelmed...go there, do that, empty of emotion dialogues, stupid sidequest and a world with no creativity in it. Explorations is there just for the sake of casting reveliand not to actually consume you and make you believe you live in this world. Apart from the main quest and the sebastian quest line i had no feelings while playing. Poppy and Natsai stories are boring.

Bullshit. The game has a story that expands the lore, has its own take on Hogwarts respecting the desing of the movies which is the Hogwarts that we all recognize, has a big map with all the areas we know, except the Diagon Alley, all the elements of the Wizarding World is there. Yeah has a lot of flaws but to be the first game in a long time with this quality is a phenomenous game. The sequel will be better.

I hope the sequel is better man. There are many things i like and dislike about this game. But to me the most frustrating thing is it had the potential to be game of the year and it was soooo far from ready. Explain to me how it does all those things you mentioned? Am i happy that a game in the wizarding world was finally released? Yes. Was i absolutely dissapointed yes. This game adds nothing as the story is so dull and they did not expand it in any type of way. Not to mention the empty ass castle.

I have not because I have heard and seen how empty that shit is lmao. Loading screen simulator. I watched nakey jakey and jack sathers videos on it and ive learned enough to not want to play it. I hope they dont make the same mistakes with Elder Scrolls 6:)

I totally agree with you. I grew up with the books and was really psyched about this game. I had to quit after 10 hours or so, though, cause it was mind-numbingly boring. Bland characters, bad dialog, forgettable quests. And the things you mentioned, like nothing to really do in the castle. I was appalled that there was literally nothing going on in the common room. Like you couldn’t strike a conversation with anyone that would lead to anything meaningful or just feel the camaraderie that is supposed to be a big thing among the students from the same house. So much wasted potential.

I got it for my gf cus shes not a proper gamer chad so i figured it'd be enough to appease her precious guinea pig brain but even she got bummed not too long after getting into it. She said she was mad by how much more they couldve easily done to make it so much better

If your looking for a 70+ hour game to get lost in, your going to be disappointed. If your looking for a 30 hour game that relives Harry Potter nostalgia, then you will love it.

Very well said. I wouldnt even say it has 30 hours of nostalgia though. More like 15 if you ask me. I did enjoy parts of this game it just left me wanting more. It could have been so much more
