im almost 28 & its still my favorite cn show & always will be. my brother & i r twins & i got the whole series box set 4 our birthday last year! i shouldve bought it when it came out back in 2009! blossoms always been my favorite girl. she was my favorite character when i was little but now professor is. hes such a kick-ass dad & theyre damn lucky 2 have one like him. i just hope craig gets somebody as awesome as tom kane 2 play him & him again in the reboot. i didnt know he played him too when i was little & could never tell if him was a guy either cuz of his voice. i hope tom recovers from his stroke too :( ive been praying 4 him, just did last night & will again 2night. i know hes probably never gonna voice act again but i hope he makes it & recovers. get well soon tom aka professor & him :(

I really like this video. I was still a newborn when powerpuff girls came out but I was obsessed with the powerpuff girls when I got older, my parents bought all the vhs's, toys, backpacks, pretty much all the merch you could think of. My parents loved the show as much as I did, my dad would always watch it with me whenever he came back from base/iraq(i swear he liked it more than me) me and my little sister watched it when she got older and my mom always had a good time watching it with me. The show still holds up to this day and I still love watching it now, even more than I did then My favorite was bubbles growing up, my sister liked buttercup and my parents liked bubbles

This was a very endearing watch. Powerpuff Girls is a far greater show than I likely recognized when I was younger, and I'm happy to rediscover it like this. Also, I can't believe I never caught that "Alpha male" bit. How did they get away with that? XD I've seen PPG Z in its entirety ten years ago. It was alright. A fairly generic Magical Girls show, but it wasn't without its charm. I'm not sure I could watch through the entire thing again, but it was worth the one watch.

Great Video Shadow Streak. There's a lot to be said about this show and how it shaped Cartoon Network into the network that it is. One of my all time favorite episodes would have to be "Mime for a Change" because of the music, the characters and the animation. Cartoon Network as a whole is nothing without the parts that make it: Dexter's Lab is the brains Courage the Cowardly Dog is the backbone Ed Edd and Eddy are the spirit Johnny Bravo is the energy and the Powerpuff girls are the heart

I really like this show. I personally think seasons 1-4 are my favorites. I think this is why u like this show. It's a classic phenomenal cartoon. From timeless villains like Mojo Jojo, to Fuzzy Lumpkin and even the devil HIMself. Whenever people talk about the show, i see it as CN's SpongeBob SquarePants. My personal favorite character is Blossom. She is a perfect example of a good leader. She has one of the most bad ass moments out of all the girls. Mojo was always my favorite because he was such a villain, yet so comical. I love his personal catchphrase, "Curses!!!!" Overall I think I speak for all of us whem this review is amazingly good. Thank you Shadow, for making this review. Also 6:10-6:23 has got to be the best one. She's still got Bubbles voice right which is amazing! Happy 20th anniversary, Powerpuff Girls!

So many memorable moments of this show. Holy crap, 20 years. Feels like yesterday when Bubbles was screaming for Buttercup to squish that cockroach. Or how about the time Fuzzy turned one of Bubbles' pigtails into meat and she literally flew into a rage. Buttercup refusing a bath. Blossom gaining ice breath. The girls trying to help a monster find his kitty (major cat lover here). A cat that was controlling the professor. Mojo's plot to turn everyone into dogs, twice. The sandman who just wanted some sleep for a change. The boogeyman. That freaking zombie magician. The entire city falling ill thanks to the Ameoba Boys. The mime sapping all color and Bubbles desperately trying to get it back with crayons. The girls refusing veggies. Bubbles getting glasses. The body swap episode. There's just so many to list. Everything is slowly coming back. It really is difficult to top this series.

Well said, dude! I too, don't know where I'd be without Powerpuff Girls- mainly the 1998 series- and neither does America and the world. It also inspires me to be more proactive and to be a better person too though my father thinks it's nonsense. It's gotten not only you and me but everyone else through so many tough obstacles, it's one big unforgettable masterpiece I can't tell you how grateful we are to have such a show like this. My mother thinks I'm too old of Powerpuff Girls but no one's too old for this masterpiece in animation history that is the Powerpuff Girls 1998 series. I think we should also give the 2016 Powerpuff Girls reboot a little respect too. Out of all my obsessions with cartoons and anime such as Arthur, Dragon Tales, and other Cartoon Network shows like Dexter's Labortory, Ed Edd 'n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Codename Kids Next Door, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Juniper Lee, Camp Lazlo, the Ben 10 original continuity, Adventure Time, Regular Show and Steven Universe, and sometimes, Disney XD shows such as Gravity falls and Star vs. The forces of Evil, and anime shows such as Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon (original anime), the Pokemon Anime, Digimon: Digital Monsters Anime, and Yu-Gi-Oh! and Beyblade anime, even Demashita Powerpuff Girls Z, and of course the best adult oriented cartoon "King of the Hill", The Powerpuff Girls stands out as the greatest shows in cartoon history, Happy 20th anniversary, and here's to 20 more years!

Powerpuff Girls is one of the greatest cartoons of all time. It is one of the shows that inspired me to be a cartoonist. It is hilarious and as humor for kids and adults. Looking back on the show; I look at Classic PPG like I do with Nick's show, The Loud House. While both aren't perfect or without flaw, it feels like the good episodes they have FAAAR outweigh the bad. In PPG; for every episode like Dance Pantsed or Custody Battle, there were episodes like Members Only, Twisted Sister or others. In the Loud House's case; for every Brawl in the Family, Green House or No Such Luck. There were gems like Pulp Friction, L is for Love, For Bros who Want To Rock, Back in Black and countless others. So, while both shows aren't flawless; the good stuff far outweighs the bad

Nice video! Speaking of that anger management bumper/commercial, that was one of the sparks that me an idea of a "What If" fanon of the Powerpuff Girls. However instead of dealing with one helpless guy in a small room, a few selective villains get assigned to have probation officers & rehab supervisors to, of course, rehabilitate them to control the crime overpopulation. Examples: *Mojo gets zookeepers for rehab supervisors. *Fuzzy gets the Mayor's (now ex) wife as his.😆 *The Gangreen Gang's probation officer is a pretty lady that they're head over heels for. (HIM doesn't get one, but if he did it would humorously be a nun LOL!)

I always love the original Powerpuff Girls more than the reboot. Because without Powerpuff Girls ,the shows that we grew up will never be around . 29:30 makes you wonder if it was fully animated and scored before being cut up sense the Music and Voices seem to be sped up, indicating that the music was most likely timed with a slower version of the episode, it also cuts off abruptly before the "Quick time saving montage" which seems to show that it was meant to continue into an action scene

This was an absolute treasure to watch, Shadow. I got so nostalgic that I actually binged the entirety of the PPG after I finished the video. I love how you're able to put so much passion into such a video and I absolutely adore this so much?? I’d forgotten all about those IDW comics. Pity they were cancelled after 11 issues. Very well done video. The main thing you do well is some brief history to the show, allude to the documentary on the boxset... and then focus on the show itself. You give enough history to go by, but not too much, allowing the focus to be on where it should - a multi-layered cartoon capable of telling varying kinds of stories, which gave it lots of flexibility. Other then perhaps me expecting a little more personal history then you perhaps have, this is a fantastic video, working both for those only vaguely familiar with the show and the die hard s mostly watching it. Well done, Shadow! This video could go far for you. Did I mention Powerpuff Girls is in my top 4 favourite animations? Well, it is. Despite not discovering it proper till 2009. So to me, it’s just a great show and movie, little of the merchandising phenomenon that surrounded it for a few years. I know I don’t comment frequently, but I do watch just about every video of yours, Shadow. Keep at it!

i got the whole series box set when my brother & i turned 27 in november but it doesnt list the episodes in the cases or have the custom poster it did when it came out. it pisses me off but inbd. i shouldve bought it when it came out back in 2009. its still my favorite cn show too & always will be. blossom was my favorite character when i was little but now professor is like u. hes such a sweet, gentle dad like u said & a kick-ass one. shes still my favorite girl tho. i hope tom kane makes it & recovers from his stroke. ive been praying 4 him. i didnt know he played him too when i was little & could never tell if him was a guy either cuz of his voice. get well soon tom kane aka professor & him :(

Beautifully written and edited video! I was 8 when the series premiered and was a faithful viewer pretty much from the beginning- I even remember the What-A-Cartoon shorts! Along with Sailor Moon and Princess Leia, the girls were my heroes. I still have my plush dolls and my Heroes and Villaons CD, and I rewatched the series on Hulu last year and loved (almost) every second of it. Happy birthday, girls. You truly are one in a million.

And so once again, the show is revered! Thanks to... SHADOW STREAK! You did a great job on this tribute. While I wouldn't say "Powerpuff Girls" is one of my favorite CN shows, I still have a lot of appreciation for it; from the fast-paced action and witty humor to the awesome villains and lovable heroes. Plus, I really admire its art direction and how dynamic it looks, especially when compared to its modern incarnation (which is just bland and garish). Oh yeah, and those old commercials really take me back to the classic CN days.

The Powerpuff Girls was always one of my favorite shows, not just on Cartoon Network (top 5 easily), but also favorite cartoon in general. I love all the characters, the writing, the animation, and it was a perfect blend of comedy and action without talking down to it's demographic. It even made me a fan of Craig McCracken too. It may have it's imperfections from time to time, especially the later seasons, but I would watch those over any single episode of that crappy PPG reboot anyway. That new show just made them look so bland and they don't show them do heroic stuff like the original. Their objective was to add female empowerment to it, but the girls keep getting tied up or get sidelined by another character in the show. The original, on the other hand, does female empowerment a lot better without even trying. Great tribute, man.
