Very nice walk through. Binge watched the entire series simply for the memories and a better understanding. This was my first big game I got into as a child and I could NEVER beat the final boss so I never got to see the ending. Plus I hated reading as a kid and always skipped the dialogue and had no idea what was really going on but I still loved the game lol. So now I finally got to understand what this game was really about and see the ending for the first time. For that I owe you a big thanks Nevs! Take care.

one of my first big games as well did not get to finish because the discs i kept getting were scratched and had to keep returning to gamestop so had to end up stop playing. but now i get to for download now and plan on beating it this time.

I wish that you had talked at the end about the game, such as during the scenes showing all of the past places in the game. But oh well. A great play-through for a great game. They skipped the credits on your emulator or whatnot as well--? Can you still remember doing this two years ago?; it must have been quite a ride.

I found that if I bought the legend casques I was legitimately immune to magic damage. So I bought one at the end of the second disc, another at the end of the third, and the third a little before the end... and I was unbeatable.

I remember the first time I did this fight. It lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes. I was way underleveled and barely caused any damage.

So much nostalgia... Albert is so imbalanced, but the third is always debatable. i liked Kongol's pure power, so every playthrough I used him. His combos were easy, and I found that a lot of enemies had instant-kill abilities on dragoons, so I found I was more efficient in human form.

She thought Zieg died 10,000 years ago. They were engaged before the war and when Zieg was possessed by Melbu she thought he was dead. Melbu used Zieg's body to continue living. Rose had to become the black monster to keep the moon child from destroying the world. When Rose attacked Neet, it awoken Melbu and Melbu fully took over Zeig. When she met Dart, she thought he was Zieg at first but released he was not.

I just beat the game for the first time on my ps2 (best console for RPG if you ask me) and I used Dart (obviously) Rose and Hatchel and managed to get a stupid amount of evasion items and power ups like crazy. the final boss hit me only about 10% of the time xD

I agree with that but only because the PS2 is backwards compatible. If it were not, then i would say that the PS1 is the best for J-RPGs. But i think we can agree than, when it comes to playstation systems alone in the J-RPG department, that the PS3 and PS4 together dont even hold a candle to the greatness of the PS1 and PS2? :D

All in all It was a very good Lets Play. I will say the only thing that was bad was the fast forward scenes which you probably should have just cut out. I was hoping to see you use other characters, but everybody plays different so its alright. I learned a couple of things watching though, and the comments you made were hilarious. Great job.

at lvl 60 you can beat frahma at his first state :), dar+meru+hachkel (soul eater, hp in red with hachkel, power ups, speed ups and slow down, wait 1 melbu turn, than attack), any luck any1?

First of all, thanks for the walkthrough videos. It was really good - watched all 61 videos. I played this game when it was new and tried it again a couple years later. I didn't finish it. I honestly just felt the game was lacking in a lot of areas and fell well short of some of the recent Final Fantasy games, Xenogears, and others from that time period. Here's a few things I didn't like about LoD: 1. The map. I hate that you're on these fixed paths. 2. The plot. It's so confusing and cryptic. Until you talk to Zieg near the end of the game, you don't know really what's going on and even now after watching the entire walkthrough - I don't find it that interesting. 3. Character development. Dart is so lacking as a protagonist. Shana is so-so interesting, but she isn't playable for much of the game. Kongol, Haschel, etc - why are they even in the game? Totally irrelevant, among others. 4. Lacks side quests. I mean how many side quests are in FF7? And they're FUN side quests as well. There was a lot of lost opportunities to improve the game in my opinion with more side quests to get items and expand on the plot like how for example in FF7 you'd go to the Shinra Mansion later in the game and get the scene with Zack and Cloud in the back of the pickup truck. The battle system is pretty cool. There's a lot of really cool fight actions that were beautifully done. The music is alright. So, it's not all bad, but I couldn't get myself to play this game again when I found my copy in a box a while back. So, I relived the experience and watched you play to the end. The ending, shrug, I guess it's ok for a "happily ever after" conclusion, but they dropped the ball again I think on a number of themes in the game that didn't get a closure (like hello, Dart & Shana). So, overall I'd give the game a 5 out of 10. It's ok... but it wasn't one of those games where I was like "I can't put this game down it's so great." As I said before, I think some of the other RGPs from this time period were far superior. LoD was a good effort and had some cool concepts, but they just didn't quite hit it out of the park.

I killed mal on his last gen and he was super easy cuz I put the Phantom sheild on Albert and dragon sheilds on the rest which I had dart Albert and Miranda because her dragoon is really strong at level 5 anyways I didn't like the fight thoe I found it boring not hard and trying to do my additions every time was hard without the ultimate war gods I had dart at level 40 Miranda at level 38 and Albert at 39 and we didn't die once or take much damage I think I had to use healing breeze maybe 2 times and I was fine

it's a drink for lavitz, back in Lohan he told Dart he owed him a drink for his "dating advice in bail after the war. he didn't get the chance to do so until after his journey.

im sorry but you were way to underleveled and not geared .... also needing to heal and use dragoon mode way to much, i usually destroy melbu before final form even beaten melbu on second form

That's not under-leveled.... That's normal. Under-geared definitely. He could've had armor of legend on Albert along with Legendary Casque and phantom shield to tank Melbu Framha.
