An equally heartwarming and heartbreaking fact about this episode: To my understanding, Sam Riegel (Scanlan’s VA) recorded the ending song the night before going into surgery for tonsil cancer. Forever grateful it was a success and he’s doing great

Yeah, the party "breaking up" was because at the time they weren't sure they would get renewed and wanted to have an ending if they got canned. Thankfully they have a forth season, which they might be able to wrap up the campaign (though ideally they use two more seasons to do things properly). Plus we have the Mighty Nein (their second campaign) coming as well.

Also what I love about that fight Raishan had planned for everything she knew, she did not know Kaleth had gained a new elemental form AND Kaleth made sure not to show her till the trap was sprung she showed her everything she knew about but not the key to the plan what she did not know. It's smart

Adam from pRevew'd does a pretty good Percy cosplay, so that's covered. Here's an example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iH2zn6dmZ7aYh5o For the first 3 seasons, they had the next one greenlit even before it started. This was the first time they didn't know whether they'd get another season, but halfway through the math started mathing. But that's why it was written so it could end right here if they had to. Meanwhile, Critical Role's second campaign ("The Mighty Nein") is going to start as an animated show, probably starting this year. It takes place in the same world, but on another continent 20 years later. So it's all the same group of voice actors / showrunners, but with all new characters. A lot of people like them even better than Vox Machina. After that, we'll get the next (and probably final) season of Vox Machina.

Last song's specially heartwarming knowing what Sam was dealing with when recording it. Also y'all should look for how these eps went like in the original stream. Some very pivotal moments changed a lot, and even if this version's great, i think you'd like to see how it went in-stream. Great reactions guys! Next season's about to f-you up, just you wait! 😅

If you want more music from them, it's a bit late at this point, but CR put out a holiday album back in December. All the songs are sung by the cast, as their characters across the 3 campaigns. Some songs are original, some are spoofs of classic holiday songs, but they're all 🔥

I was a little bit behind, but I have now watched your reactions to the final episodes of season 3. What a ride it was! It has been awesome to see how excited and emotional you both have been watching the show. Some of the best, most entertaining reactions I've seen for the season. Thank you both so much, and see you both for season 4! And hopefully, the new Mighty Nein show, that might release this year if we are lucky. Mighty Nein was already in production while LoVM S4 was waiting for the green light. Travis has said the M9 should be coming this year.

So the ending was they did not know if they where getting Season 4 (they are) so they wanted to give a ending if they didn't while set up S4 if they did, and while sooner or later it must end the best news is Campaign 2 is Greenlit so we get to enjoy whole new characters who.... if anything I am looking forward to more. As well D+D groups tend to have a pattern their first campaign as a group is closer to classic, then in campaign 2 you get more daring you push stuff more because well, you know what others on the table enjoy so your more willing to take chances... Which is to say Campaign 2 is awesome

At some point, a character crests a level of power where the world gets smaller. In season one, Pike had to go off on her own and by the end of the season she was astral projecting into the group. In season two, Vex obtained flight, Vax got wings, and Keyleth learned how to travel between planes of reality! Now, Vex and Percy have a kingdom to rule, Scanlan lives in an extradimensional mansion, and there's nothing that can keep Keyleth from contacting anyone she knows. If nothing ever goes wrong again, they all have a way to live out their lives with fulfillment and peace . . . but we all know that isn't how this story ends . . .

Great reaction like always. I'm sure your patreon gave you the run down of what changed between the live stream and the show but 1. Percy's death got all of us bc that was a huge change from the live stream. . 2. Raishan actually didn't manage to finish her ritual in the live stream. The show version was what was "supposed" to happen but the team managed to find her early and Kayleth managed to get a spell off that stopped Raishan from using spell (and rational thought). . 3. The team didn't lock in a 4th season till after the release of season 3 so how the team split up was changed. In the stream it was much less kind but they didn't want the show to end on SUCH a huge downer so they softened it. If you want to see what happened it's call "the bards lament".

Among the vast array of problems I would say the back half of this season has, one indisputable fact is that everything regarding Percy, in this episode in particular, is just pure art. And is a perfect example of how to adapt good resurrections. It helps even more that the Legend Of Vox Machina series started off with the Briarwoods, the Percy-centric arc, so it feels like it's all come full-circle. He's stopped seeking revenge, but not he has finally learned to forgive himself, finally, truly free of his demon.
