A couple of cool things in this episode. The team hired 3 linguists to create a real language for Marquet. And the Kid’s that Grog (Travis Willingham) questions are voice by Laura Bailey (Vex) and Laura and Travis’ son. So it’s a cute family bonding session behind the mic.

I just need more Ank'Harel and Jmon in general, they are so cool. And very cool theory about why Jmon might carry a dragon, wow! And very very good call on why Percy`s bomb might not be very powerful, because it`s not an actual vestige.

I don’t know that Ripley deserves any benefit of the doubt. Don’t forget what she did to Percy and his family before she made friends with the demon.

Yeah some people are too forgiving, Ripley’s given basically no reason for her heinous actions beyond self-interest.

Because the equality argument is logical. The Cerberus Assembly for example has no issues taking a monopoly on power that is hard to obtain, this combats that corruption. Also Calebs entire background proves there is indeed a monopoly on that power or else he would have seeked an alternative in his past.

Matt Mercer said during the original stream that the ruler was very androgenes in their appearance. And Vox Machina could not tell Male or Female. Also possible spoiler: The smaller dragon is not a baby the race is called Pseudodragon. A small semi intelligent dragonkin.

Ripley is as deluded by her 'deal' as Percy was in season 1, there is no way an army with guns or even a cannon can take on the Cinder King. If Orthax can collect the souls of people killed with Percy's gun in season 1, how many souls could he collect from a factory pumping out magically made guns? He'd could gorge himself on souls forever.

just a heads up, J'mon Sa Ord identifies as non-binary, so uses they/them pronouns and the title of Emprex. they're also an absolute smoke show (I imagined them as being pretty damn hot, yet Titmouse somehow made them even hotter!), aaaaaaaaaand that's all I'll say for now. ;) delightful reactions! love watching y'all, but especially with this show!

Dragons started as guardians for the mortal races but some were twisted by the evil gods So yes good dragons do exsist but are a lot more lowkey than the evil ones.

I like your guys guesses. Now you're thinking like D&D players; which is be paranoid by everything and everyone lol I once played as a Arcane Trickster Rouge Kenku. A Kenku is a humanoid raven/bird. Unable to fly or speak, any communication was done by mimicry. I wore heavy bandages and modified gloves and shoes. With a large hood. I had a low strength score, so I made my character fairly dainty with a smaller beak, easily hiding my face in the shadows of my hood. But the first time they saw me I used a disguise spell to show a human girl with horrible burns around her throat and up her face. To explain hiding my face. I also had a rule with the DM that I could roll a slight of hand check before the game and use that roll to cast disguise self without announcing it at the table. This led to a number of games before eventually I fell unconscious in a fight and my magic wore off. Some of my players were suspicious because of my limited vocal range, since it was a few phrases with different accents and sounds (like horses hooves on cobble or an arrow hitting it's mark). But every time I lowered my hood and never had the DM ask for a roll or check. It was a lot of fun

In DnD, the five basic chromatic dragons are red, blue, green, black, and white. And there are five metallic dragons (copper, brass, silver, gold, and bronze). Chromatic dragons are cruel and self serving. Metallic dragons are generally good by nature.

Keyleth is shown alone during the intro and during the vision Vax saw when they kissed because that's her greatest fear and her eventual fate since archdruids can live for thousands of years, potentially. She will outlive all of her friends. You're definitely onto something with J'mon Sa Ord. (They are nonbinary and totally METAL!) You're also correct about dragons being different. Typically chromatic dragons (like the Chroma Conclave) are more evil aligned whereas the dragons metallic are good. That's why the good-aligned dragon god is called the Platinum Dragon. That's who Kima serves.

Devils and demons eat souls for both sustenance and power. Taking a good soul and corrupting it increases the potency of the soul when consumed. Percy was to be a marinated steak for Othax, and he has been cheated out of the deal.

Ripley's words really hit Percy where he lived. The entire conceit of the character was the burden that the first person to invent firearms would/should have felt. But given how ineffective the pepperbox has been against the Conclave and Delilah, Ripley's words feel hollow to me.

Vox Machina wouldn't have any idea that the gunshots equal Ripley because Percy very deliberately did NOT tell them that the black powder merchant told him that someone else was buying black powder. Only Percy knows that information. And so Percy would absolutely jump to it being Ripley but Vox Machina wouldn't.

A note, take with a spoiler warning just in case because I don't know if the cartoon is going to cover this: You mentioned your suspicions about Vex's dragon sense when meeting J'mon Sa Ord, but I can put that anxiety aside for you: J'mon Sa Ord is a brass dragon. Unlike the conclave though, they're on the good guys' team. Metallic dragons are typically good-aligned while chromatic (IE: The Chroma Conclave) are typically evil.

That's good thinking, but wasn't her pain proportional to the size of the dragon. The bigger the dragon, but sharper the pain. She didn't seem to be in that much pain.
