@Anon I don't think so. I think by ancestors and descendants they don't literally mean by blood, just by reincarnation. Link doesn't ever have kids, he just reincarnated as different people in different families. Just because TP Link lives on a ranch does not mean he is related to Malon. Yes he has a horse named Epona and knows Epona's song, but that could simply be explained by Link just remembering that from his past life and believing he made the song himself and decided to name his horse that, or just because he was inspired by the hero who he doesn't know is him reincarnated.

Ganondorf's dialogues perfectly captured how a suffering person consumed by hate turns into something terribly evil. But the Deku Tree's actions make me think that he believed there still might be the chance to break the cycle. This is why he let him go. Please continue to impress us with the next episode. And don't forget what Alfred Hitchcock said: "Always make the audience suffer as much as possible."

Not really, Ganondorf was corrupted by power and the influence of Demise's curse as such he essentially went insane after getting the triforce of power and also part of his desire to rule Hyrule most likely would have involved making the other races suffer like he did.

Official stance is that the meeting in the garden replaces the very first time Link and Zelda met. It basically undoes the majority of the Child Timeline too. The temple only briefly opens to let him out, he never gets the fire or water stones.

(ie room A is on the left in Gamecube but same room A would be on the right on Wii). so i gues to guage the Correct missing eye, youl have to refence which swordhand he is using

Skull kid is a trickster. He’d lead Ganondorf into the lost woods if it were him being threatened. He must have one of the fairies. Of course he would have a way of capturing fairies after being defeated by a forest child. Fingers crossed he has Navi and Link gets to rescue her

The moment near the end where shit got real and you hear the original Fire Temple theme was *chef's kiss*. This whole series is incredibly well-crafted, both in terms of the physical animation and the storytelling. This game originally came out when I was 10 years old. Now I’m 34. It’s a unique feeling of catharsis that comes from watching these videos, watching these characters who were children when I was children now grow up and deal with mature adult themes in a way that I can relate to. There’s nothing quite like it on the Internet. The way these videos are designed to mimic the UI style of the original games makes this feel not like a remake, reimagining, or fan project, but that we’re literally picking up where we left off with these characters 24 years ago and they’ve all aged with us

Okay, time to rewatch the first three! I seriously love this series. Your storytelling is so believable, it feels like this is the actual unseen canon. Everything flows so smoothly, and flows like the story is supposed to. Even though this is not "official" Nintendo content, I still consider this series to be the cannon storyline to what happened to Link after Majora's Mask, and before Twilight Princess.

Okay Here's what I like about these episodes is what a lot of modern films fail almost EVERY time, and that's not treating the audience that their dumb. Love the fact that the worldbuilding and the characters facial expressions and actions tell the story EVEN with subtitles. It even adds more when you've played the games! And the MUSIC, very well placed in regards to atmosphere and tone for each scene. THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A DAMN FILM HOLLYWOOD!!! Voices or NOT! Applause to this work! We haven't seen Link in action yet, but we should keep in mind that he is *far* from weak, considering all the enemies he's faced throughout his journey. Link's defeated Ganondorf before in the adult timeline, and he even took down his beast form as well. Also remember that he vanquished Majora, a demonic entity, in the child timeline too (without the Master Sword). These are just two out of the dozens of foes Link has fought and overcome. It's clear that he has a lot of experience as the Hero, probably more so than most of the other Link incarnations. Back then, Link was still just a kid (mentally in OOT and physically in MM). Now he is much older, probably in his prime. Sure, Ganondorf is powerful but let's not underestimate how strong and skilled Link is at this point. He may not have the Master Sword or his masks on him this time around, but he can still hold his own against Ganondorf with the sheer skill that he has. Take, for example, being able to fight Calamity Ganon with nothing but a soup ladle in BOTW. Furthermore, the prior experience Link has from fighting Ganondorf in the adult timeline will give him a huge advantage in this one. Ganondorf, on the other hand, will be fighting Link for the first time. Don't forget the fact that in this timeline he barely even knows who Link is. To him, he's just a random knight no different from the other knights he's killed. So he'll definitely be caught off-guard when said random knight puts up a *much* bigger fight than he would expect. When you look back on everything he's been through, in reality, Link here would actually be Ganondorf's final boss.

Link is certainly strong enough to oppose Ganondorf but keep in mind that Link doesn't have the Master Sword and chances are he didn't keep the masks and even if he did, Ganondorf might try to even the playing field by deciding to fight Link 1v1 with just their sword skills and that is something Ganondorf would do given that despite the fact that he is evil he is also honorable as he's shown respect for Link and Zelda on numerous occasions and in the final 1v1 sword duel of Twilight Princess Ganondorf actually decides to fight Link without using his abilities.

@@chadpeterson5698 in a previous episode he gave the masks to HM salesman, and here he's not wearing his mirror shield and gilded sword either. But at the same time, Ganondorf doesn't have the Triforce of Power yet (he gets it at his execution) and Link should have his Light Arrows from MM.

@@LilacMonarch The only question is does he still have his bow. We see it on his back when he visited Darunia but we haven't seen it with him after he wore the armor. If Link already left the Hero's Bow with the Gorons then any kind of arrow would be useless. Link would have to fight with just a Hylian sword and shield. Not only that but mentally he is at a disadvantage. In OOT and MM, Link had some time and confronted Ganon and Majora. Here however it's Ganondorf confronting him. Link was not prepared or expected fighting Ganondorf right out of the gate. Another thing is Skull Kid. He lead Ganondorf to Link and the Deku Tree, meaning that Link must be confused why Skull Kid betrayed him. Considering the last we saw him was when he was with Tatl and Tael and the fact that neither Fairy was with him might indicate something rather dark. Not only that but Skull Kid was shaking when he pointed at Link and looked away saddened and ashamed. As much as I hate to say it, Ganondorf might have captured or killed Tatl and Tael and threatened Skull Kid to the point where he had no choice. That would piss Link off and cause him to fight more angrily. This might be what determines the fight. Will Link die here, I'm not too sure but considering Link is suspected to be the "Cursed Swordsman who sleeps under the Sacred Tree", can you really think Ganondorf won't take advantage of this, especially when he knows from the Temple of Time theme and the third episode hinting at Ganondorf is aware Link has the Triforce of Courage and is looking for it?

The first 5 minutes I was trying not to cry and then it just. That build up was incredible and the way you showed Ganondorf having visions from Demise. All those questions about fate and destiny. Tbf we don't know what his fate was. I personally think he lived a peaceful life, just hung on after death due to Ganon eventually returning, and he knew he would eventually pass the skills to another version of himself, who was marked with the triforce of courage.

The Hyrule Historia revelations pretty much confirm (as good as it's gonna get) Link x Malon. Even without the lore book Twilight Princess Link knowing Epona's song by default kindov seals the deal. Malon learned Epona's song from her mother, so it's a song passed down in her family.

to be fair, linkxmalon might be more canon than zelink, this is because his ancestor, tp link lives in ordinary village instead of royal family and stuffs, tp link also knows the Epona song. also, the ordon village might exist because link and malon move together to the forest, this can be proved with how the ordon village is all about farming. of course this doesn't 100% confirms this, but its more likely.

I felt so tender seeing Malon and Link hugging each other, Skullkid, Taya and Tael playing hide-and-seek in front of the deku sprout was beautiful, but that damn Ganondorf hurt Skullkid and I wish Link would destroy him atom by atom. 😡😠 It made me very angry, poor little Skull kid. 😭 It was a beautiful wave of emotions that came over me watching this episode. I don't know how I missed this announcement, but I am HERE for this! I've been hyped for Episode Four for months, and I'm so excited that it's finally here. I have loved Ocarina of Time and owned it on the N64 all my life, so this series holds a special place in my heart. This is the kind of Zelda content that keeps my hype for BOTW's sequel alive. This satisfies that Zelda craving the way a new Zelda game would, even if it's only half an hour long. You guys have made that magic work for me. But now I'm here, ready to watch it, and I am HYPED. Also, since I missed the stream, I'm just gonna type my reactions as I watch the video now. Might be entertaining for some people that way, who knows. Don't read this comment if you don't want spoilers while watching the video. You DID bring Malon back, yay! Oh, this is so sweet! The lighting in this is fantastic. I don't know how you managed to pull off such realistic lighting with the firelight, but it paid off. Oh my goodness, you used the C select menu as part of the story! Both so brilliant and so cute! This is one of those moments where I want the characters to kiss, but they hug instead and it's just... better that way. YES, you brought back the Age of Calamity theme! That's my favorite of all Brock's Zelda songs. NO, not that Hylian Knight! Agh, how you play with our emotions. I appreciate the non-linear storytelling of this series. It's not all in chronological order, and that just works for a story like this. Ooh, you're including new tracks in here, nice use of the Dark World song. I like the contrast of Impa's confidence in Link vs Zelda's compassion. It goes to show how not everyone on the same side will necessarily see things eye to eye. It almost seems as if Impa's confidence in Link borders on... indifference to his well-being. But both perspectives make sense here. Well done conveying that. Haha, good old-fashioned grass cutting go brrrr. When the Deku Tree said something was eating away at him, I could only think of Gohma. :P Speaking of which... Ganondorf coming to Kokiri Forest himself was not something I had considered before. I'm very intrigued by this portrayal. DUUUUDE, what is with this Demise callback?! You just did a deep dive into heavy lore there! Whoa, that hit suddenly. Ohhh, that tiny use of the Skyward Sword soundfont was a level of attention to detail you didn't need to go to, but it just makes it so much better! So you're implying this isn't the first time this has happened to Ganondorf. Makes sense, very interesting. And Link's nightmare's coinciding with his passing by is just so thematically delicious. That whole Ganondorf/Deku Tree interaction was awesome. Very well done. Very... humanizing. And the use of the "blood-soaked sea" line was yet another good callback. I get the funny feeling that this theme of mercy will be quite relevant later... Baby Goron Link is wearing armor and that is adorable!!! Ruto really do be sizing up every Hylian man she comes across... A Darunia flashback? Man, you just keep treating us. Whoa, an acoustic guitar song?! A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. I love all the piano and electronic tracks, but that is such an unexpected and welcome change of musical pace. And it's Ballad of the Goddess, no less! It may seem repetitive at first how the Deku Tree Sprout tells the story of Link's mother, but... this is an alternate timeline in which they wouldn't have known Link knew and it would be very in character for them to share it. Why do I get the ominous feeling the supply run won't just be another supply run? Age of Calamity has taught me to be wary of when "new recruits" show up, so I'm immediately suspicious of that convenience. GAAAAAAAH that ending sequence!!! The buildup of tension, that inescapable paranoia that something will go wrong, that little moment of hope when you think for just a moment this isn't as bad as it will be... and then all hell breaks loose. And you just pulled out all the stops there with the epic Gerudo Valley music, the arrival of the army, and even Phantom Ganon itself! And of course, the terrible but perfect way to finish it off was... to have Ganondorf come to Kokiri Forest himself. Again. And now I'm more hyped for Episode Five than I was for this. Brilliant. My goodness, this whole video blew all my expectations out of the water. This series gets better with every episode. Thank you for making this experience. You guys should be very proud of yourselves for this masterpiece.

This is incredible as usual! Loved the back alley Knight idea, as well as many other details, like how Link repeats words to Malon and the Sprout. And that ending, that was some good foreshadowing with the Skull Kid. As an og of ocarina...ya done good Lenny. Ya done real good! I always tried to imagine how Ganon would of approached the other races, especially the Deku tree. I was worried about how the directing for a project like this would go.. I was teary eyed alot through this, it's beautiful, faithful and sprinkled with the imagination us Zelda fans used in the older days to describe how it could've happened.. to see it come to fruition is beyond phenomenal I love this and I can see you guys do too well done!!!

HUZZAH! He has returned. I knew keeping the fate would win out. Anyways, a few thoughts: 1. MALINK FTW!! 2. Savelle is quickly becoming one of my favorite minor characters. 3. I just loved the whole Ganondorf segment. Seeing his side of the story instead of being given a cardboard cutout Disney villain vibe is a breath of fresh air. Major points in creativity! 4. The whole end sequence...Yikes! Talk about cunning. Really intense! 5. WHY, SKULL KID?!? WHY??? All in all, wonderful! Bravo! Perfect! I couldn't be more enthralled! Malon is the spouse of Link who saw him as the person he was and loved him for who he was as an individual, rather than Zelda who took on omnipresent spiritual belief of a ending of the Hero of Time as the Hero of Hyrule whom saved Hyrule but at the cost of his own worldy life (which Zelda recognises in repentance at the end of OOT) Yet, on an indivual level, Malon was the one whom Link loved, because as a child, she as well as LInk also saw wickedness by the examples in Hyrule. Ingo, a rather hardass and self serving person on Lon Lon Ranch was quite similar to Mido, perhaps full of good intentions but ignorant.. I wonder what happened to Malon's mother as well as Link's mother.. Yet the innocent Link as a child not only awoke him Talon (Malon's Father) but brought the family farm together by his music, taste in milk and eagerness to help others. By the lore of Hyrule, it is highly suggested that Zelda sealed his fate by guiding him to the Door of the Temple of Time. Yet no one knew who Link was as an adult besides Saria, expect the beloved horse that was the closet friend of Malon as a child whom she shared her friendship by song with the young Link, in respect for her mother who sang the song to her as a child, Epona, is the only animal to recognise Link for his bravery and won his love and trust. Ganondorf swore as he was banished to murder the descendants of the same Hero of TIme, and that is realised in Twilight Princess. Link and Malone are inseperable for the Legend of Zelda story to continue. Kindness, humility, hard working rural lifestyle, loving, beautiful, honesty... these are all traits that righteous men with piety always want. These are my thoughts.

I must admit, even though I am on the ZeLink shipper fan base, watching this animated where Impa is a huge factor as to why they might not end up together (due to fan theories of course) is the perfect way to describe the emotional state of affairs that Link must be harnessing. This entire series is a must have and though Nintendo will never canonically prove anything to be true, I must say Zelda's feelings for Link, Link saying his goodbyes, Malon already openly wanting to drop everything and leave with him (Honestly, if Zelda wasn't in these state of affairs, she would have done the same thing or even more), finally Link pulling a Sasuke/Sakura moment and entering into the forest, it's just poetry written.... I'm excited for episode 5.
