This video is an incredible achievement and the level of detail is second to none. Even though i quibble with some of the games placement on the rankings or outright omission(no Minish Cap or Ages/Seasons?), I'm in awe of the work done here. The biggest things i took away from the video is how much i want to replay some of these games, and how great Wind Waker is.

I love Skyward Sword. The story is the best and I actually enjoyed the combat style. I didn't have any issue with them. The art style is very pretty and would love an HD refresh of it. I didn't mind the linearity either. Not every game needs to be open. The only issue I have is Fi. While I like her character as a companion and story element, I think they made her too hand holdy.

Jared Gauthier yeah I think a remake is gonna after 2021 because then it’s gonna be 10 years old at that point. I’m actually working on a video that’ll talk about how to rework the combat.

@@soberhippy8240 Skyward Sword is actually one of my favorite Zelda in the series. Most complaints revolved around the motion controls. But if you stick with it and can get passed it, SS is actually a great one. Story and character is really good and really drew me in.

Skyward Sword is one of my favories soley because the dungeon design is outstanding. I get the hate though. The motion controls are good, but kind of alienates fans, and the repitition (silent relm, imprisoned battle, revisiting areas) is annoying.

I took my time going through this video and loved every moment of it. I appreciate Barrett's passion for this project as well as his attention to detail and giving all aspects of each Zelda game a fair view. As you indicated in the video, you could ask 12 Zelda fans to rank the same games and come up with 12 different lists. I think your list is great and represents truly your experiences with those games. The best part is that this really made me want to go back and revisit all the Zelda games. Loved listening to this, I know you said you won't want to do another one of these for a while but maybe if you or someone else from KF would do one again one day, I think it would be super interesting to see a Resident Evil In Review. It has a lot of good games and just like Zelda I think it's an iconic video game franchise. Not only that but to hear someones opinions on them all as they experience how RE evolved would be really interesting.

Just finished the final moments of this wonderful video deep dive - what a journey! What an incredible job you did. I can’t imagine how much intense effort must have gone into this; you did a marvelous job. If I may offer one constructive criticism... I’d love for a little bit of further video editing/shot variety to be added - for instance when you reference an art style or a boss to also accompany your monologue with a visual aid. I mostly want this because there are games I haven’t played in the series and seeing bits and pieces of the art or level design that makes those special or obtuse or what have you, would be a really great glance to help aid the audience understanding. Otherwise... fantastic!

Holy crap! This was epic man. Watched the whole thing. Some of the best content to come out of Kinda Funny. You should be very proud as I'm sure all your colleagues are as well. There was so much to cover with so much lore. The editing was tight, the music you played at certain times to match the mood and game you were talking about was a neat touch. You were clear and concise while also being entertaining. Nothing but high praise for this man. I'd love to see a Metal Gear in review. This is coming from someone who has only played a few of the games and loved them but not a fan boy by any means. Seeing your love for lore and theories, I think this would be a fun series to dive into and maybe teach you and the viewers about some interesting connections and story beats like you just did with the Zelda universe. Once again... Amazing job dude. I can't imagine how much hard work went into this.

Also, Barrett, I've always thought you're a great speaker, and you seem very much at home in front of the camera. And you do it in your own natural way, rather than seemingly following some kind of convention of how the average KZbinr does it.
