JFJ wrote himself into a corner talking about how Link doesn't eat, then specifically introduced that counter-argument by talking about other survival elements. Link has to eat SOMETIMES, situationally, and more importantly, has to manage heat and cold. Survival against the environment is a major part of the genre, and that framing just makes the weapons another finite resource.

@@richardchicken923 what I think he meant is that one thing is a survival *horror* game and another is just a survival game, in which he is correct, it's like saying a survival horror game isn't exactly a horror game, in pure survival games you have way different mechanics than in survival horror, the same that happens in regards to the relation between survival horror and just pure horror, in most horror games you cant fight back and have to run away from danger most of the time, in survival horror it has horror elements but it allows you to tackle the enemies, albeit in a more reserved manner than action games themselves

At 2:55 - 3:00 could not have possibly been timed better. Having Volgun's message back that lead to this snowballing butterfly effect of how this video came out, correlating with the "Take me with you and I'll help. I just realized something. the happy mask salesman is one of the only NPCs to acknowledge the ocarina of time's power, however implicitly. he plays the song of healing and then has you play it. yet only when YOU play it are you healed. not to mention, he knows about your interactions in the unrealized future in a way that implies he lived it, which shows that not only does he know its' power, he can mimic it to an extent. He also surely knows of the moon's falling, yet says "if you don't get the mask back, _something terrible will happen."_ This implies that something even worse, even more incomprehensible than the moon's falling will happen. I think, realizing that, this game just got a little scarier.

Favorite parts so far is J & V in arguing about the analog stick of the N64 and probably the one I'm on right now the lens of Truth, and when J said "fuck you" to V while still both in character was the best thing EVER.
