This gave me some important thought on why Link's so devoted to Zelda: After Link was orphaned, Zelda was his only friend and protector because he was really timid and chokes on his words, hence why he's always quiet in the game, which made him an easy target for bullies (mostly Groose). Size doesn't matter in my jurisdiction for I believe Zelda's a year *OLDER* than Link. Link always wanted to return the kindness she gave him.

This is actually what I imagine Link's backstory is in Breath of The Wild - his mother dies when he's very young and his father is a hero who dies in battle, and the reason Link never talks is because he's traumatized by his father never returning one day.

I know but can't say.. having friends who have worked on various Zelda's.. sometimes even they don't know...It comes after the game sometimes, and it feels to late..Just all of you keep this in mind about this game... Hylias plan was so well planned, that even the goddesses felt as if time stood still. (The book of Lore isn't always copied or translated right, Nintendo America also likes to change things... example, Taking Links Journal entries from BOTW, which is why creating a champion doesn't even explain much. I mean by knowing but can't say, Because either it wasn't written, got changed, or scrapped..

I guess Link's 'laziness' at the start of Skyward Sword could be explained by what happened to his father in this, he's subconsciously terrified of ending up the same way, and that's what was holding him back until The Wing Ceremony
