Honestly, as someone who sits down ALL the time due to a physical disability, playing this particular game is a bit difficult, but nowhere near impossible. I also have balance issues, too, which also cause problems, and while standing does help, it's not necessary to enjoy this game. Still not a fan of motion controls, though.

About the whole standing thing, from my experience, you don't need to stand to play. I played the game again for the first time in like 4 years a couple weeks ago, and I've had no problems playing the game sitting down, sometimes even with my legs up on the couch, or hugged to my chest, or being sprawled across the couch. In more intense fights and stuff I sit normal, but I haven't had to stand once playing the game, and I've played pretty well.

For those who are unable to stand for long time due to medical/physical reasons ,myself included, I can assure you that you can play and enjoy this game while sitting down with no issues.I made it to the last dungeon in this game all while sitting on my bed, you don't have to flail your arms while playing either so it's pretty simple.Hope that helps any of you to give this awesome game a try someday ^_^

hey chugga, long time viewer. actually i haven't watched since i started college because i more or less outgrew LPs and youtube in general just moving on in life. i eagerly bought skyward sword when i was a freshman and that might have been one of the last home console games i had ever played. i'm a senior now, gonna graduate in a few months and life really has been tough the past few years and moreso this one because of the stress of becoming "an adult" lol. but i stumbled onto this and i remembered the joy i had when i had marathoned your wind waker LP and kept up with okami. your outlandish responses and passion for sharing every nook and cranny of a game got me out of a rut and gave me faith in humanity really. i really look forward to watching your new videos daily again as this specific game took me back in time 3 years. i'm glad you're still doing what you're doing and having so much fun doing it. thanks for that chugga :-)

Can we all just appreciate the fact that Emile has been releasing an episode of Skyward Sword everyday so far? He's been dedicating time to the channel so well, even for longer-than-usual episodes. It definitely helps to record multiple episodes in one go, and I wish I could be like that again for my Let's Plays. Now we just have to see if receiving the Switch early will cause him to falter, or if it's only fueling an eventual recreation of Majora's Mask where he starts the episode with a cool feature of Breath of the Wild that is absent in Skyward Sword.

Having played Skyward Sword myself I can testify what Chugga says is totally 100% true. I've never had to stand up for this game and it works your wrists pretty well. Still looking for treasure before Dungeon 4 and the game is much funner than I gave it credit for before. The Pumm and Kina sidequest is kinda annoying especially the final part but I have had a lot of fun with this game and recommend it. I think people hate this game way more than they should.

I agree with Chuggaa when he says that you don't need be standing up to play this. I usually play this game laying down on my bed. I can even do the first Ghirahim fight while laying down. I would more likely recommend for people to play while sitting though. I'm just so used to the motion controls that I can play it while laying down. But back to the point, you don't have to be standing to play this game. As long as you can get used to the controls, you can get play in comfortable positions.

Nice video! It seems like Link takes up about 1/2 of the tunnel(13:58) opening in width from outside. If he were flexible enough(contortionist level) he could press into one corner and curl very carefully and slowly to turn around. It would probably take a good bit longer than the animation, but its most likely possible. Alternatively, the ends of the tunnels are slightly wider in the games universe and that's how he turns around. But that's no fun. So I'm not saying my hc is Link learned bendy tricks wholly to impress Zelda..... but i'm totally saying my hc is Link learned bendy tricks wholly to impress Zelda and they are just conveniently useful on his Quest.

As someone who is in a wheelchair, I can say that standing is not needed to use motion controls. Some things like bomb rolling can be a little difficult, but other than that I haven't really had much trouble with the motion controls. And the hints I've gotten about combat from your LP have made it that much easier.

Fun Fact about Armos: If you use the gust bellow on their propeller immediately after destroying their first power crystal... they'll flip around and re-enter their stunned state... allowing you to strike the second one quite easily. No strafing required!

Hey- Fun fact about fighting Armos: Of the two crystals in it's mouths, one is easier to reach then the other. one is on a long tongue, while the other is in the throat. Naturally, the one on the tongue is easier to reach... However, the Armos will change tactics when the crystal on the tongue is destroyed. Before this, they will hop towards you. Afterwards, they will try to hit you with one long jump. This is only true of the crystal on the tongue. Destroying the crystal in the throat causes no change in behavior. Personally, I find it much easier to reach the propeller on their heads when they are making short hops than when they are making long jumps. Consequently, It may be easier to kill Armos by destroying the harder to reach crystal first. Or at least, that's my experience.

Okay, so around the 4:30 mark Chugga brings up the controls for the game. I could understand if you had a similar problem to me (not having two hands makes even holding the wii remote and nunchuck difficult, let alone making somewhat precise motions when swinging them around) since that was what made Skyward Sword unplayable to me but why would someone feel that they couldn´t play this game because they can´t stand? Either way I´m happy that Chugga is showing me all this game has to offer since I coudn´t play through it myself.

Stand up? It never once crossed my mind to stand up when playing any Zelda game. I played through this entire game plunked right in the middle of my couch. While I am disabled and used the Wii in rehab to help me learn to regain my balance and increase my stamina, you don't need to stand at all. The motion controls are very sensitive; you need only make small motions to swing wide with your sword, or throw a bowling ball- and this was with the very first basic Wiimotes.
