This plot is so contrived and it is obvious that even the actors had no idea how to portray the characters convincingly. Nothing stopped elena from secretly telling alejandro that she was being blackmailed.

This is a good observation. It’s a good movie but pales in comparison to the first. The viewer does have to stretch his or her skepticism a bit: she could have easily slipped him a note or given him some other signal. Oh, well. The sequel turned out to be better than I thought it would turn out.

@@jt4369 I actually like the 2nd one better because there was much more action and Elena did kicked a lot of as*es which I was hoping to see more in the 1st one. I also quite like the storyline of Zorro having depression and Elena cannot accept the fact that the people come first, then only her and Joaquin but she eventually comes to the realization that she married to Zorro and that was their destiny together. It's like, you can't always expect rainbows for superheros. They will go through hard times too. Love the concept.
