I'm a braziliam from the South, Rio Grande do Sul, and moved to Belém a few years ago. I'm a Internacional fan so I was used to a fearcy rivalry because of the greNAL derby and had only know ReXPa by name, but being here and living it through their fans vision is insane!!! I personally still think greNAL is thes biggest brazilian derby, but have to admit that I'd love to see Remo and Paysandu doing well and getting back to the first division, they both made it to Serie B for the first time in a while and I have hopes that both of them may stay and stabilize in the second division at least, so in the future they can fly higher together.

To be honest, Remo x Paysandu should be in the first division, majorly because they are the biggest teams of that region, both have suffered under bad management for years and because of this the north of Brazil is extremely underrepresented in the major football scene in Brazil, now that both are in the second division togheter with Amazonas FC, we can see a club for that region in the top flight soon.

I'm from Team Paysandu and I love how our rivalry is diverse from teasing, friendship and much talked about, but there are things that get in the way a little, like the fights and struggles that they cause between organized fans and I hate this. Being from Belem and a Remo fan I gotta say it’s amazing to watch a video talking about the RExPA rivalry. My father is an avid Remo fan, to the point where when I was younger I didn’t even say the name “Paysandu”, only calling it “the thing” because that’s what he told me to say. The teams are definitely a strong part of the cultural identity of the city, with people referring to shades of blue as “Paysandu blue” or “Remo blue”. Excellent video!

Só está enganado com relação a torcida, é extremamente comum ver torcedores do paysandu em todo o Norte e algumas cidades do sul. Enquanto do remo é concentrado 99% na RMB.
