The Word, fond memories - a wonderful / great / crazy / eclectic bit of telly that could not be broadcast now. Never mind a lot of other stuff Channel 4 broadcasted. Happy days. And a good live version of the song although (being a boring old person, although it annoyed me then) it was spoilt by the fast cutting to different cameras because it looks great and adds ‘energy’. Sorry it doesn’t that’s not how we look at any live performance in real life obviously. But the fact that had lighter weight cameras by the early nineties they could do that stuff and did it too much. And the killer bass riff in the original single version is not very forward in the audio mix. It’s what actually what made me a fan. And thanks for posting, I saw this live and didn’t record it.

Grunge lol. I was about 15/16 when this stuff came out. I thought it was original, unique and fresh. All it was was a copying anything The Sex Pistols ever did but claiming it to be different cos your hair was greasy, long and your socks mismatched and hadn't been changed in 2 weeks. Utter shit now I look back on a genre I loved .
