A year ago, I decided to stop sailing the seas and own my content. I got software to rip BR, and I built a rather hefty NAS to accommodate the larger files. Now, it's looking like I'll be sailing again soon because most physical storefronts no longer supply physical media, and I hate buying Amazon. Sooo, good job, I have come full circle again. But now I have a hefty ~150TB NAS to hold all the things.

drone shows are horrible e-waste and there are videos of how well they do in China...they fall from the sky by the hundreds and become artillery ordinance easily able to burn a buidling to the ground they also cost hundreds of thousands if not millions they have zero future and are almost as bad as EVs

alt-space opens the control box menu. that is very useful when you have to move a window that you can't see because it's offscreen. alt-space, M, now you are moving the active window, tap cursor keys to start moving it, once it starts moving you can then move it with the mouse without clicking.

Pioneer seems to still be making Blu Rays. Current models on amazon have a 2023 firmware. Obviously Blu Ray is not always supported by studios. Rings of Power isn't on Blu Ray, but House of the Dragon is on Blu Ray.

By my understanding the cool part of the Google quantum computer is that this architecture becomes /more/ stable as it scales up, whereas every quantum computer thus far gets less stable as you add more qubits to it. I did that about 2009 ~ ok ~ I do still have and toy with copies of Windows in VirtualBoxes, but those run under Linux Mint. No way on Dog's Green Earth am I ever going to install Windows on bare metal, for my own use, ever again. My friends and family who I help_desk for ~ if they want a copy of Mint with Virtualbox and a cracked Windows-11 running in that ~ I am happy to provide that, but don't ask me to make Windows the actual host ever again. I won't do it and I won't help anybody else do it. IF I was a gamer_boi (I'm not) I would have two solid state drives, probably two M.2 drives. One would have a Linux install, one would have a native Windows install. The one-&-only thing I would do in Windows, is play games on it ~ and run updates. Don't browse the web, don't do email, don't do spotify or facebook or any other damn freak show. If you must do that stuff ~ do it from Linux ~ in a browser. If it only runs as a separate independent installed ap ~ then don't do it. You're bending over for Satan if you do.

revo uninstaller. remove edge and webview, removing leftovers. it shouldn't then be able to run co-pilot. (it should crash) revo should be able to find and remove co-pilot also. (it came as an update for me so was easy to get rid of. on win 10)

yeah you paying off MSFTs thing is a bigger deal than you made out - MSFT previously use evaporated water to cool the air to cool the servers, but with closed loops and Liquid cooling, they will not be wasting 100000000s of gallons of water just for the sake of cooling air, as in the US, specifically water is cheaper than power. this is a win for water waste.

Blu-ray isn't going away. It's a $7 billion a year global industry with many distributors. There's just an abundance of players, mostly in Xbox and PS consoles, so there's no point for every company to keep making players.

LG is stopping mfr of blue ray players because they are bad at it. Mine was meh since day 1 with odd freezing and skipping not reproduceable on other players- and a few weeks ago it went nuts and powered itself on and continually cycled the dick tray until unplugged. Replaced with a Panasonic.
