I think its tragic that there are still people today who really don't get the LOVE of God.. The bible is filled with contradictions which is why we should also rely on what our spirit is telling us. I think the ones who have a problem are the ones who do not express unconditional LOVE...

I agree that Carlton is a well educated theologian that knows how to articulate his slanted view of Christianity. This is why the Bible says that the letter killeth but the Spirit maketh alive. The Bible was written by human people who THINK this is what god would want. However, I feel like you could have said this In a nicer way, because this person may have had religion forced on them, or maybe they just believe it and you can believe whatever you want to believe. If I said my favorite color was green, and you didn’t agree, you wouldn’t be rude about it. You would just say you don’t agree. (Unless you would be rude about it, in which case you generally suck.)

This reminds me of the contest between the prophet Elijah and the prophets of Baal. Even though Elijah was outnumbered-as Pearson is here with THESE false prophets-he held his own, and showed who was truly of God. I think, in spite of what most folk will say, Bishop Pearson has moved into a higher conciousness of God, and those of us who have simply accepted the traditional thought of religion will easily say that he's wrong. But what if, just what if we as "the body of Christ", actually just listened to what he is saying, asked the Lord to give us understanding, and THEN make our final decision. Unfortunately, many of us have not done that, simply out of fear of what we may discover.

I know there are a lot of religions all over the world that profess to know & serve the true God. It seems to me that a person’s religion & beliefs depend on & is determined by what part of the world they were born, what their granny practiced & believed or what their grandfather practiced & believed or what was popular to believe at the time when they were born etc etc It’s just too much & too confusing....I’ll tell you what I’m going do....I’m just going to let God Himself tell us all when He is good & ready to let everyone know at the same time. In the meantime, I’m going to do the best I can to be a good person to all persons based on my moral conscience of what I believe to be right or wrong and good or bad. If I see a hurt person I’ll try to help. If I see a hungry person, I’ll try to feed them. I’ll try to love my neighbor & exercise love & compassion. It is sad but many Christians think the fear of hell is stronger then the love of Christ. Hell is real but Christ love is greater.
