Got one of these this week (April 2023) used for £250. I also got an LG velvet with dual screen case for £250 too. It made me realise I missed out on a lot of great LG devices at the time. Shame that innovation from LG has gone. It was their android update record that put me off at the time and ironically they committed to updating the wing (currently on android 12) and velvet (currently on android 13) after they left the phone market.

I could never.. I had the original Sidekick back in middle school and ALL I did was flip it open and close. I fidget way too much and would probably break the poor thing 😔 but it does look super fun

They actually tested it and it lasts for a little over 200,000 swivels!!! Which if you swivel 30 times a day, that's still 18 years 😌🙏🏼❤️

In my honest opinion I think this is a great deal of a deal of a phone if you're not able to afford the Samsung foldables, Huawei foldable, Even the oppo foldable that just came out, That's a shame that these phones are costing house and car payments and they put just enough innovation and interest in these devices that consumers will buy it. A little do people know that this underground beast it's a beast of a phone may not have a high refresh rate may not have 50 gigs of ram or the latest processor It definitely gets the job done in performance. Having 2 screens open at once is the ideal multitasking beast that is the LG wing

As a Tmobile employee we see warranty exchanges often and we see LG device historically fail often. However the recent devices have been great. The issue isn't us its the customers. Most customers are Apple users and Samsung Users. They have reliable software and hardware. However the LG Wing is a fun device in every way. So that's about it. Most customers want samsung and apple phones, few ask for one plus, pixel and LG. Just remember also Tmobile is a service provider. Selling phones means nothing, it's all about selling service.

Download gboard in the Google play store and follow the directions to set it up. It will make your life so much better

I agree that Gboard is 1,000x better than LGs keyboard BUT when you have the screen in wing mode and you want to type, ONLY the LG keyboard will work on the bottom screen. Gboard stays stuck on top. I'd love it if Google would make Gboard work with this feature. Have you figured out a way around this? Also, thanks for the vid. I agree with your assessment. Much appreciated.

So my Blackberry Keyone black edition keyboard is failing, tried to put my SIM in my Motion and it worked for a day then AT&T shut it down. I am so friggin' sad that as a Blackberry hold out, it's seemingly coming to an end AND according to AT&T I can't even try a Unihertz Titan/Pocket. But, this phone will work and it still speaks to my need of having something unique...and they're like $350 on eBay right now. Thanks for this review. Always appreciated your love of BB...sad to see it finally dying off. Maybe we'll get that Onward Mobility one at some point but not holding my breath.

Just got this last week. GREAT phone, BUT: 1, get screen protectors IMMEDIATELY; the glass scratches easily especially from using the swivel. And 2, so far the battery life is not impressive at all. And 3; if you're not used to an LG be ready for an entirely new GUI; it'll be a drastic adjustment

whats with people hating on lg keyboard? It is so feature packed if you actually try to use it. Gboard has absolutely zero to offer except being a functional keyboard.

The LG keyboard on the Wing is horrendous and the hit detection very inaccurate. Typing on it was a nitemare. How do I know? Because I tried using it for an entire day. It's the worst software keyboard I've ever used. If you like it, that's great. But I think it's garbage

I've had this phone a few days now and it's bad ass for sure. But it's hard to get used to. Even over the surface duo. I have to really explore it and find out about it. I've been taking a few days to set it up and I realized I need a loop because I drop it a lot. It's just really different lol

I might have bought this if they had a factory unlocked version. All I have seen are carrier specific models that are unlocked for use with other carriers. I don't want any carrier boatware installed and I don't want to see carrier logos on the boot screen or printed on the phone anywhere.
