We first heard this song in the movie "Johnny Tremain." Our history teacher often whistles this tune as he passes through the halls. The kids love the movie.

Love this song. Remember it from Johnny Tremain. We need a Sons of Liberty today to fight back the oppression fron a dictatorial givernment.

I remember hearing this song in my history class back at 7th grade (I think?), and to this day, I can never sing the lyrics right!

Wonder if Disney decided to remake Johnny Tremain under its current management what it'd end up looking like, let alone if they'd still include this song. Kidding. It'd be crap and we all know it and the song, if they did include it, would get completely butchered. Let's just stick with the original and pray that Disney doesn't remember they made that movie, yes?

It would be Jane Tremain with one half her hair shaved like the all the blue hairs prefer. There would be no white people in the cast except the villainous role Sebastian Cabbot played. Or as you put it, it would be crap.

most people think that this is the only song that Johnny Tremain fans listen to which has grown over the years to be a stereotype. nobody makes anybody listen to one song all day long except on june 19 (day that this movie premiered in 1957) Then we wave our posters, our join or die flags, watch Johnny Tremain and listen to this song. Quick side note i am thinking of switching the Johnny day celebrations to june 20th because of juneteenth which is already an observed holiday on june 19th. It is to make it more fair for everybody
