We just had our first “emergency” and it was great to not stress and just pay the bill know wing next month we will get our emergency fund back up. I would have been stressed for weeks if we didn’t have that emergency fund.

One of the biggest things that's helped me wrt both my own perfectionism and my tendency to hold others to high standards too, is to realize there are different standards and different definitions of "perfect". What may be "perfect" in one context or from one perspective, may have significant shortcomings from another.
