Before I was even a gun owner, my grandpa told me that being a provider and protector was on a Venn diagram. Everything that you do affects the central theme of your life. He was a ww2 veteran, and a civil engineer. The smartest man I’ve ever known. Taught me a lot.

@@Payt-y5d you know that there’s actually a traffic engineer who is responsible for traffic lights? And, to think that their goal is to do the opposite of easing the flow of traffic is absurd. Maybe you should apply for the job in your area, and you could solve it?

Back in the 80's while in college and working at a pipe, cigar and tobacco shop, I worked on Sundays with an old school retired full bird Air Force Colonel Fighter Pilot. Imagine this, he started his career in the 30's flying bi-wing airplanes, then various planes in WWII, was the first into Japan in P-38's after the bomb dropped, then F-86's in Korea, then various jets in Vietnam, and ultimately retired in the mid 70's flying Phantoms and F-106's. He always preached about the 5 P's, "Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance". I know, it's simple, and has been repeated in many stories, but when you hear these things from warriors that have been there, and look you in the eye and speak "through" you,. you effen listen. It's effective and meaningful and it imprints upon you. Think sh_t through. Do your job. Love you Colonel Cormany, and thank you Sir - stand by one!

Nice beaver, dude.Man your chats make so much sense.it really surprises me just how many people have no plan for anything. Its kinda like they live their live minute to minute. My dad kinda beat having a plan into my head.I remember as a kid watching him go over everything from finances to how to better secure our home to staying in good shape it was almost an obsession with him.He past away in 2016 after having a stroke. When we went through his stuff to help his wife clean out their garage and storage sheds I I was floored over the amount of stuff he had put back for emergencies or just hard times.I miss the old man more than I ever thought I would but he lit a fire under my ass as a child and at 52 years old I'm still learning and expanding and trying to better myself a bit more every day.

You cannot protect your family if you are in custody. Failing to plan is planning to fail. All excellent points, it’s refreshing to hear people that know that security is a mindset and a way of life. I would argue that real martial instruction and teaching thoroughly encapsulates this attitude and mindset and that you’d be surprised at how heavy an experts edc kit may be. Additionally, true peace with the security mindset comes from an understanding of violence and the fact that we do not truly control absolutely anything and if you don’t want to get robbed don’t look like a score.

We used to keep a pvc pipe in the track. We had incredibly thick double panes of tempered glass similar to two windshields. Someone would have to unload a few rounds into it then try beating it in with a bat. We’ve since replaced it with French doors but before that it was pretty darn secure with that pipe in the track. Keep it well lit and a security cam in plain sight. Most random bad guys prefer darkness and privacy to breech an entrance.

@@WheelgunsOnWheels I have never smashed the glass on a sliding glass door but given that it is glass I believe that is is a weakpoint. I wanted to install a "security door" or potentially robust french doors but the builder was not cooperative.

good video, I'm looking for feedback (not legal advice) from a fellow man who cares about these things: I live in a very rural area at the end of a dead-end road at the top of a hill. The house is ~100 yards from the road-access dead-end where the mailbox and a spot for township vehicles to 'turn around' on our property (plow/road maintenance, electric company etc.) - it's private property and marked as such with also signs that indicate no motorized vehicles, no pets, etc. allowed, and that it is a wildlife reserve (no lights, no electricity.) A few weeks ago I saw a vehicle parked there with its lights on (pointing at the house), and went to see what was going on. A guy was in his truck listening to the radio, open bottle, and was preparing to smoke some herb. I told him he had to turn his lights off (didn't even ask him to leave) - he was immediately angry-aggro and told me 'no' and to "f off", when I told him he had to leave, he flipped out (like a drunk flipout that was already in a PISSED mood just looking to start something?), came out of his truck and got up in my space going 'you want to fight you want to fight?' throwing insults and essentially attacking me. I extended my arm to claim my space, made contact with his chest, and he fell to the ground (it was icy.) By the time he was back on his feet I had my strapped firearm moved from my back to my front, and he saw it - throwing more insults and claiming I pulled a gun on him and I explain to him I simply have it and am protecting myself - he slowly backs off and gets back in his truck and sllowwwwllly leaves. Now, he's been back taunting me, sitting in his truck with the lights off, then turning them on, then driving away. I think he poured some strange liquid on the ground. He seems unstable, comes once it is dark, and is pretty much harassing me. I feel no peace, my family is on-edge. I wonder if he is trying to provoke another confrontation and has since armed himself to do such (so I keep my distance and watch.) but, I am not at peace and want peace and that means getting him to be gone - what to do? not only am I not into 'calling authorities' but it is not a sensible thing here and as men, we need to be able to figure out what to do to make our world a better place amidst the evil scum - laws make it hard for good people to do the right thing and protect criminals mostly...

@@CarryTrainer honestly not into 'authorities' - the people are fine, the system is a problem I want no participation in, and to me it's kind of like "mommydaddy he was picking onme!" - police don't do anything/have no power to do anything until it has already gone bad, yeah? and then that just becomes 'well you're better off having told them he was aproblem before, for legal reasons' - and that becomes fear-based, and I will not participate in that either hence why I phrased the things as I did

I need an attorney to help me sue Riverside County and California for their unconstitutional CCW scheme. I was denied my CCW after appeal and I'm an FFL, I have an out-of-state CCW, I'm a range safety officer, I'm well trained, no drug or mental health history, and i can buy firearms and pass a NICS background check. I also have a letter from the DOJ and NICS saying i can Buy, possess and carry firearms but since Chad Bianco and his CCW unit didn't like me for whatever reason my right to carry is now infringed based on Arbitrary Rules and Subjective Standards against The Bruen decision and other SCOTUS rulings. I was told my case is a winner but i just need to find an attorney who is willing to start this with me. I asked AI if Riverside County CCW scheme was Unconstitutional. This is what it said....... The key question revolves around whether Riverside County’s CCW scheme complies with constitutional standards post-Bruen. The Supreme Court emphasized that rights protected by the Second Amendment should not require individuals to demonstrate special needs or burdensome criteria imposed by state or local governments. Good Cause Requirement: The requirement for applicants to show “good cause” is now viewed as overly restrictive and likely unconstitutional based on the precedent set by Bruen. This suggests that any similar requirement in Riverside County would face significant legal challenges. Subjective Criteria: The use of subjective assessments regarding an applicant’s moral character raises further concerns about constitutionality. Legal experts have pointed out that such criteria could lead to arbitrary decisions and discrimination against certain groups of people. Recent Injunctions: The permanent injunction against discouraging non-citizens from applying indicates judicial recognition of broader access rights under the Second Amendment, which may extend to all lawful residents regardless of citizenship status. Given these factors, it is reasonable to conclude that aspects of Riverside County’s CCW scheme are indeed unconstitutional as they conflict with both the spirit and letter of recent Supreme Court rulings regarding gun rights. Conclusion Based on these considerations, the Riverside County CCW scheme is likely unconstitutional, particularly concerning its previous requirements for demonstrating good cause and other subjective assessments related to moral character. That's the thing about it. Most "2A Organizations" have no interest in overturning permitting schemes especially in California. They are affiliated with, have holdings or just make way too much money to overturn the CCW Permitting Schemes. It's literally a giant money grab due to Training, application fees, mental evaluations, and attorneys making money off CCW Appeals for denials. In California an attorney will charge $5000 to $10,000 dollars for a CCW Denial Appeal. Do you think they want to overturn the CCW permitting system? Also in California some me issuing agencies use private companies like PERMITIUM to process applications with a standard fee of $125+. Think about it. If you charge $125 and your PRIVATE company processes 100,000 new applications and another 150,000 renewals every year your PRIVATE company is making $62,500,000 every year just processing applications. Then add training, psych evaluations and other fees, you'll see they are making money hands over fist. I would volunteer for a 2A organization and I saw first hand how many in leadership either are CCW trainers or involved with companies that provide training. Michele and Associates do not work pro Bono for members and are one of the ones charging $10,000 just to start an appeal with other fees piling up. Our rights are being sold at a high price and no one wants to do anything about it. I'm looking for an attorney who would use my case and my denial to overturn California's Unconstitutional CCW scheme but not one has any interest. I'm an FFL, highly trained in firearms, range safety officer, DOJ confirmed I can own, possess and buy firearms, no drug or mental health history and nothing in my record that makes me a disqualified person yet the courts still used false allegations from my ex wife and a dismissed case to use towards my denial. The paperwork filed against me using false allegations said "PROSECUTOR REFUSAL" because the investigator knew she was high on drugs and full of crap using the system to try to get back at me for leaving her after she abused my daughter and I found her stash of meth, heroin and syringes.

Im in about the same boat as your friend. Skinny, short (now middle aged) and not in the shape i used to be. I have done a lot of consideration of what i do if i need to get out of bad situations, especially where my size is going to be a severe disadvantage. I dont get hot headed and suffer from little mans disease (anymore..haha) and i sure as shit dont go flapping my big ass trap at people. Sure, i CAN fight...doesnt mean im any good at it or whatever skill level im at is going to get me out of a fight. So i go through a lot of thought over what and how im going to do things if im ever put in a bad place and have no way out other than through. Im well past the days of thinking i can ever intimidate my way out of a fight and i always tell people who talk shit about carrying weapons "youre not always going to have an advantage, even with a weapon and im certainly not going to at my age and size. why not just be ready if you need it some day?" Im not scared. I've almost died enough times to at least be able to brush fear off to a certain degree...still want to live, though. Its important to be prepared because you dont know how fear is going to make you respond anymore than i do. Some people jump in and go for it and others dont...be realistic with yourself and who you are.
