In the portuguese version of the game Grim Reaper is a woman. This is because grim reaper is called "Dona Morte" in portuguese (because "morte", which translates to death in english, is a feminine noun). So.. Dona = Miss; Morte = Death Grim reapears name in portuguese translates to Miss Death in english

Ok, but here's the thing, though: the vitality nectar is an old family recipe. So he knew it already before he "faked his death" a.k.a. really died and used the nectar to bring himself back to life. And I'll bet that before that, he had already shared the recipe with Agnes, which is why she and her cousin Agatha are the only Cottage Living townies who can never die and be replaced by randos. Of course, that then raises the question of why she never used it to bring either husband back to life...

maybe she wasn't able to find all the ingredients in time before the ghost stopped spawning / lost connection to the [nether?] world. if she thought they were both completely gone to the afterlife & she couldn't even see their ghosts then she couldn't bring them back as you need a ghost to drink the nectar, & seeing as Roberto wasn't even dead he wouldn't have a ghost.

Actually, Jane Austen wouldn’t have married Mr. Darcy either. Film versions of him have been romanticized. Literary historians believe Jane Austin might have either been asexual or a lesbian (there’s proof of both in her writing) neither of which wasn’t okay in her time. It’s really interesting when you do a deep dive on her writing and her life.

what if he did die when that chandelier fell and someone did bring him back to life using the nectar. That's how he found out about it. He had decided to leave Agnes by the time of his death and then created a new identity and became an alcoholic (he drinks nectar out of the bottle all the time in town)

I am convinced that philanthropist anymore is a term for rich people who create "charitable foundations" so that they can commit tax evasion. Other than them, I have never heard any charitable person boast about being philanthropic lol.

As someone who has a job researching foundations that give donations and grants to colleges, it is all to make themselves look better and to avoid paying taxes (at least in the US). They all have very specialized interests, are super picky about the projects they will fund, want to make sure it will be news worthy, and it most often comes down to if you know someone on the board of directors for the foundation.

Marketer for a company that develops healthcare apps, meaning I’m constantly in contact with “philanthropists” who brag about what disability or health issue they donate all their money too. That said, there are a few genuine ones out there who genuinely want to use their money for good. But most of them do nothing but brag and use it to evade taxes.

That would be awesome. I assume that the reason they don't already is because cross-pack relationships would be hard to do and I don't think have been a thing in any sims game yet, but also, if she thinks he's dead it'd probably be even harder to figure out an in game relationship. Because from HIS end I guess she's his ex wife? But to her he's her dead husband. I'd love to see someone figure out how to make that work in game!

The name Crumpebotton appears in the Goth family tree - Simon and Prudence Crumplebottom are Mortimer's maternal grandparents, and also the parents of Agnes. So it is her maiden name and Robert/Roberto taking her name and STILL running away plus just varying the taken name instead of reverting to his birth name is funny as well. But i doubt the EA Lore Team actually remembers the Sims 2/3 family trees well enough to be aware of this.

Maybe he loved her but she just couldnt get over the first husband. So he did the selfless (but dumb) romantic thing of "setting her free" and trying to find a way to bring the other husband back from the dead for her (or maybe even the baby). But he took too long and now shes old or he realized after he found the way how dumb he was being so now hes just doing his own thing because he cant go back ,admit what he had done and hurt her even more.

Crazy theory time!! Sienna Grove has an "awed by lifesaving hero" sentiment with Roberto- so what if that broken dread horse bridge (the ghost horse one) fell when Sienna was riding her horse across it!! This un-alived the horse and Sienna but Roberto found her and managed to save her with the vitality nectar.

Philanthropist is just someone who gives a lot to charity. If you're so wealthy you don't have to work, that's a good enough thing to do with your life. Some actually do a lot of good in the world.

It can also be a way rich people swindle the tax laws. A lot of the time they donate to their own charities so it's not considered taxable income and then they also get a write-off for the donation. Then they essentially made money by giving themselves money. And they also get the good reputation that comes with being seen as charitable.

My theory: 1) He faked his own death using puppets! He was a puppeteer! 2) Puppets don't actually look much like humans so Agnes realised immediately that he faked his death. 3) She doesn't believe in romance anymore and is trying to save people from themselves when she breaks up PDA
