She was so great, it was almost like she was a beautiful chameleon. She made sure you were looking directly at her with the aura of beauty and kindness she possessed.

Audrey was a wonderful human. She was in Belgium during WW2 and she took part in helping the Dutch Underground Resistance by performing dance (she was a ballerina) to raise money for the resistance. The dance shows were called Blackouts because the windows would be blacked out so that the Germans couldn't see what was going on. She was suffering from malnutrition and still found the strength and energy to perform.

You neglected to mention that her family wealth was lost during WWII and she and her mother survived by eating tulip bulbs!
@kepckatherinec80511 ай бұрын
WWII ended anything resembling wealth for Audrey and her family. By the time the Nazis were forced out of Holland, Audrey was severely malnourished and in constant fear of Nazi reprisal for her underground activities. She had a lot more personal depth than simply seeking a career in the arts.

She was a beautiful legend. But I hadn't realized that her family was do wealthy. That explains her ties to the Rothschild family. I remember her wearing a cage on her head at a certain gathering. That broke heart.

I grew up speaking English, Pennsylvania Dutch, German, and Yiddish. Most Americans can speak at least two languages. Where the heck do you get your information??? Cartoons?? And why do you not use punctuation? And what of your misspelling?
