The BBC tv series was far greater to the books than the disney movies. I left the theater after prince Caspian thinking "wow that wasn't what happened, Caspian wasn't fighting with Peter he graciously wanted help, and the attack was horrible." Then dawn treader had me disgusted.

The available art for Caspian was pretty much limited to scenes in the Walden/Disney movie...so lots to make this time! I also don't really paint, I do digital over painting, photobashing, and... just this time I used an AI image generator to assist me!

A tiny mistake: Unless my hearing failed me, you said the dying Caspian blessed his son Tirian - but his son was Rillian. Tirian was his far descendent, and the last king of Narnia.

Lewis' Sci Fi trilogy and the Lord of the Rings so they could do a comparison. I told them some of the back story of Lewis and Tolkien so they can get a better appreciation for those authors. It seems like they are eating it up.

I have loved Narnia an Aslan (for who he represents) since I was 10! Those stories helped me with my biblical studies and also inspired me to have a love of our own TRUE history and after I double-majored in that topic, at 59 I continue to study. Earth's history of humanity is even darker and its almost over as it was in Narnia year 2555. I was 18 when I fancifully predicted our year would be 2025 - that's getting pretty close!😵‍💫 Seriously though, we are not to set dates but things ARE getting ugly fast!

I discovered your channel a few months ago and I love the work you're doing with it! You delve into the Narnia books and characters really well! Would you consider making a theory video delving into what Aslan meant when he said in The Last Battle that the good deeds one warrior did for Tash he actually did for Aslan? I've heard a lot of controversy around it and I myself thought C.S. Lewis diverged that moment from the Christian doctrine and symbolism he included in the rest of the series.

Great video! I remember feeling a bit dissapointed after watching the Dawn Treader in the cinema years ago. I don't dislike the movie (and the Prince Caspian movie) actually, I quite enjoy them. I'm a big fan of Ben Barnes and he was amazing as Caspian, but I just think that the Caspian's character in the movie is not as great as in the book, especially in Dawn Treader. So perhaps Netflix will fix that in their Narnia series? I hope so!

You remember that part in Prince Caspian where Bacchus, Silenus and the River-god show up. That part is a little confusing. Why were those characters there? Were there multiple gods in Narnia even though Aslan was the Almighty? And how how gods from Earth, Roman-Greek mythology get into Narnia. and if they were once on earth does that mean that there were real Raman-Greek gods on earth? Maybe it has something to do with the Wood Between the Worlds, like Father Christmas or Tash. Maybe you could make a video on this, on Why Bacchus, Silenus and the river god were in Narnia.

I love the story of Narnia. It pretty much describes the war between heaven and hell, describes how people will do whatever it takes to keep believing in heaven legal. Christianity is illigal in some countries and it sucks. The story of Narnia is most likely banned in those countries sadly. It's a truly beautiful story.

I have something to say on the subject of the Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Since you already did a video tackling "the real problem with Susan" I was wondering if you could perhaps do a video tackling "the real problem of slavery on the Loan Islands" or something to that effect. In Voyage of the Dawn Treader, when Caspian and his men ousted the governor from office the governor said something along the lines of "have you no sense of progress?" To which Caspian responded "we have a word for that back home, it's called going bad" or words to that effect. Was Caspian trying to say that progress is inherently evil? And of course certain people could interpret his appointing of a Duke in place of a governor as a sign that Lewis was against democracy as well. I myself do not believe that is what CS Lewis intended. But I'm not entirely sure what he did intend. Perhaps you could do a better job of explaining it to me? It is not my intention to badmouth any of the Chronicles of Narnia books. But I'm hoping that by asking these questions I might be able to understand them better.

The Telmarine invasion was about 1000 years after the reign of Jadis. I have to say you've raised a fantastic point that I've never considered: 2 different invasions a millennia apart. One drove out the men, the other drove out the beasts. There must be some significance there--I can't wait to find out what it means. Thanks for the great insight!

Aslan and Lucy did not go to the bridge in the book, only in the movie. What actually happened is that they had the river god freed of his "chains," which were the bridge, so that by the time the Talmarines got there, there was no bridge left. After that the Telmarines simply surrendered.

The Caspian really was quite epic and I must admit (Despite its criticism) I adore the Prince Caspian movie but I strognly feel C.S Lewis made an mistep in regards to Caspian's death and revival. I think much like Repiceep he very much should've peacefully passed over into Aslan's country instead of returning to life as a young child self as shown in the Silver Chair 'BBC' adaption. It could've been an opportunity for Lewis to teach children how to deal with the passing of loved ones but like the subject of school bully's/negative teaching he strangely dodged it. Still I'm hoping we can get an update on Netflix's Narnia soon. That and Redwall are the only things (too me) that could save that platform!

Best form of justice the Narnians can have against the Telmeraines. That the first Caspian who conquered them who was called Caspian the Conqueror will become a minor figure in Narnian history, overshadowed his descendant Caspian the Seafarer who not only saw more than he did but who also undid the dame his ancestors had done and gave the Narnian back their stolen home.
