She was working her way up being an A-list actress, but her life ended shortly when an obsessed fan went way too far because of a "love scene" in a movie that the obessed fan saw. The obsessed fan needs to understand that the actors are playing a scene in the movie, and that the actor/actress is playing in character in movies. Actors and actresses out grow the character that they've played on movies or t.v. shows. Schaffer landed more mature roles after the t.v. show "my sister sam" ended. I did research and watched other documentaries about this story. I really wish that there was a t.v. series or movie about Rebecca Schaeffer, how she worked hard to be in the entrainment industry, working hard to be a household name in Hollywood, and how her life ended short because of an obsessed fan who went way too far, and 35 years later her legacy has changed forever by adding anti-stalking laws, the driver's protection act, and adding more policies on stalking. This is one sad story that ended in tragedy.
